Management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel entries, disqualify riders or exhibitors, prohibit exhibition or entries, and cancel or combine classes, or to reschedule classes, to change rings or rotate judges; and to change specifications in classes. Management may designate a jumping order, use THE ONE MINUTE RULE, and/or use a dotted line. REGISTRATION INFORMATION - 1) Online entry information and a complete description of divisions and cross entering information, please visit www.horseshowsonline.com. 2) Owners and exhibitors are responsible for all horses and fees incurred by them or their agents, even though payment may not be submitted along with entry 3) Pre-entry deadline is Wednesday, March 1, 2017. BACK NUMBERS: Numbers will be issued only when entries have all necessary signatures, information is complete with proper credentials provided and when an open check has been provided (if credit card is not vaulted). PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR - ASTM/SEI approved helmets must be worn at all times for all riders on horseback, regardless of age. MEDICAL SERVICES - Auburn Medical Center Services are available. MINOR EXHIBITORS - Parent(s) or guardian(s) of a minor child shall hold the horse show management and the facility harmless for any injury to such minor. No minor child s entry will be accepted or number issued unless entry is signed by a parent or LEGAL guardian. The signature of unrelated persons will not be accepted. Parents must sign online release upon checking in with the show secretary. TROPHIES & RIBBONS - Every AHJA class offered herein will be awarded five ribbons. The Walk/Trot and Crosspole Divisions will be awarded 10 ribbons. The $1500 Hunter Derby will award ribbons through Eighth place.
CHAMPION AND RESERVE - Awarded based on 6, 4, 3, 2, 1, in divisions with at least three classes, including Jumpers. ARENAS - 150x300 outdoor arena and 150x300 outdoor arena and 100x200 outdoor arena and schooling areas. Any schedule changes will be posted at least one hour prior to show start times at the secretary s desk. MEASUREMENT - Entries for the Pony divisions must present a valid USEF or AHJA card or be measured before showing. DISCOURTESY - To any Show Official by any owner, rider, trainer, handler or groom will disqualify any horses with which they are associated and fees for horses forfeited. STALLS AND BEDDING 146 Permanent 10x10 stalls are available the day before the show. Permanent stalls will be assigned upon completion of arrangements with the Show Manager, Jill Dean. Additional stabling will be made available to meet exhibitor needs at appropriate pricing. TEXT Jill Dean at 205.603.6166 for stall and shavings reservations by MONDAY, February 27, 2017 by 6:00 pm. SCHOOLING - In designated areas only. Open schooling is allowed Thursday, March 2 until 6 pm and Friday, March 3 until 9 am, and/or 30 minutes prior to the arena start times. MOTORIZED VEHICLES, dirt bikes, golf carts. Only licensed drivers allowed to drive any motor vehicle. CONCESSIONS - will be available on the Show Grounds provided by The Little Red Lunch Box - DOGS - Must be leased and under control of the owner or dog may be impounded. COGGINS TEST - Negative certificates dated within 1 year are required for admittance with state and local laws. WASHING - Washing and bathing of horses to be done in designated wash rack. CLASS SPECIFICATIONS All classes will be conducted in accordance with the AHJA Rulebook with the following additions: $1500 Hunter Derby: Class Specifications and Courses will be posted prior to 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 3. AHJA Equitation Challenge- Jr. Board Fundraiser- The AHJA Equitation Challenge is a challenge on the flat for Junior and Adult Amateur equitation riders. Separate classes at the Kick-Off and Year End Shows. Class profits benefit the AHJA Jr. Board. AHJA Equitation Challenge is open to all Junior and Adult Amateur AHJA members on horses or ponies. To be judged at a walk, trot, and canter. Competitors will be asked to perform at least two of the following USEF tests chosen by the Judge: #1-Halt; #2-Hand gallop; #9- Ride without stirrups; #15-Change leads on a line demonstrating a simple or flying change of lead; #17- Canter on the counter lead. Martingales are not permitted. ADDS/SCRATCHES Show scratches for the entire show will be accepted if submitted to the show office no later than the day before the first class of the show. No class fee refunds after an order of go is drawn. All show scratched entries will be charged an office fee, stall and shavings fee (if ordered). Scratches must be completed in the show office before the beginning of the added or scratched class. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to take their copy of the scratch to the gate keeper to complete the scratch process. RETURNED CHECKS AND DECLINED CREDIT CARDS a $50 fee will be charged for returned checks for each time deposited, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. All returned checks must be honored within 21 days of notification. A $50 fee will be charged to all declined credit cards each time processed, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. All declined cards must be honored within 21 days of notification. REFUND POLICY Office, Stall (NO STALL FEES WILL BE REFUNDED), and shavings fees will not be refunded under ANY circumstances. Entry fees will not be refunded unless a certificate of illness or injury prepared by an accredited veterinarian is presented to the secretary before the start of the show. Once the show
has started, horse that are not shown in classes which they have entered forfeit their entry fees, except if a horse is injured or becomes ill prior to the class or classes entered. Proper notification of the scratch must be made in the show office BEFORE the start of the class or classes being scratched. This must be accompanied by a certifcatre from the official horse show veterinarian. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to bring the yellow copy of the scratch form to the show ring, to finalize the scratch process. In either case above the entry fees will be refunded less the office fee of $30. Refunds of entry fees will not be given in the event a class or classes, or all or part of the competition is cancelled due to severe weather, an accident, an emergency or some other act of God. Refunds of stall fees, office fees, shavings fees will not be given, however, class fees will be refunded in the event of cancellation of all or part of the competition due to severe weather, an accident, an emergency, or some other act of God. CHECK OUT- Any disputes found on your printed invoice, must be resolved within 24 hours. Please review bills carefully. If disputes are not negotiated within this time period, the invoice will stand. If you do not close out your invoice in the office, a $25 fee will be accessed, unless you fill out an express check out form giving written consent for the show secretaries to close out your invoice. Any open invoices left in the office after the end of the show will be closed out with the method of payment holding the entry. DISPUTES In all classes, Show Steward and Show Management will settle any disputes, conflicts or questions that may arise and their decision shall be final. Helmets Must Be Worn At All Times When Mounted. The Sanctioning Associations encourage all riders wear protective headgear passing or surpassing current ASTM/ SEI standards with harness secured while riding anywhere on the show grounds. It is the responsibility of the rider, parents, guardian, or trainer of the junior exhibitor to see to that the headgear worn complies with appropriate safety standards and is properly fitted and in good condition. All riders must wear ASTM/SEI Approved helmets with properly adjusted (snug) harness.
