WINTER SLAM BOXES RULES WINTER 2015 1. Matches are to be the best of three sets (tie break at six all) with the third set being a championship tie-break up to 10 with a clear lead of two eg 14-12. 2. Points are to be recorded as follows: a. 2 sets to 1 win: 2-1 b. 2 sets to love win: 2-0 3. Actual set results must not be entered online as Clubsys will work out the results and move pairs around within the ladder. Please enter actual results on the Clubhouse noticeboard to enable us to distinguish between pairs in the event of tied points. 4. Points will be awarded as follows: a. Three set match winners receive 8 points, losers 4 points. b. Two set match winners receive 8 points, losers receive 2 points. c. Where no match has been arranged, neither pair receive any points. d. If a pair withdraw, all matches against that pair will be recorded as a 2-1 win. 5. Should a pair need to cancel within 24 hours of the agreed match time then they shall forfeit the match and walkover points will be awarded unless there is more than a week of playing time available in which case the match should be rearranged. It is the responsibility of the cancelling pair to rearrange the match at a time and date convenient to their opponents. The spirit of the boxes is to play tennis, not to score walkover points so please try to play wherever possible. 6. At the end of each set of boxes, the 2 pairs with the most and least points will move up and down a box respectively. 7. New pairs may join, or changes in partnerships can be made at the start of a new set of boxes. Where partnerships are placed within the boxes is the decision of the Manager. 8. On arranging matches, players should leave reasonable time to play (2 hours) and must advise if they need to leave by a particular time. If a pair should arrive more than 15 minutes late for a match and that match is not completed by the agreed time, then the pair who arrived late must forfeit the last set if it has not been finished or there is a tie at one set all. 9. Matches are to be played by 31 December 2015. 10. Any disputes will be resolved by the Club Manager.
