Ball State, 2002 9.925 at Big 12 Meet, 2002 Junior (2004): Rachael Dombart scored a 9.800 on beam at the 2004 Cat Classic team competition... advancing to the Individual finals, she duplicated the mark to finish fourth overall... opened the season scoring a 9.775 on bars at New Hampshire... earned academic All- Big 12 first team recognition. Sophomore (2003): Dombart recorded 8-of-12 routines on the uneven bars scoring a 9.725 or higher as a sophomore last season scored a 9.825 to finish third on bars at the Cat Classic followed up recording a 9.875 beam routine to finish third and advance to the individual championship in both events went on to take second-place scoring a 9.875 on beam during the Cat Classic individual competition scored above a 9.700 on beam in nine meets, including a 9.800 12th-place finish at the Big 12 Championship. Freshman (2002): In her inaugural season, Dombart adorned the Tiger lineup as Mizzou s only All-Big 12 team member the freshman tied for second on the balance beam scoring a career, freshman and all-time Missouri high 9.925 a standard competitor on the Tiger uneven bars and beam lineups, she also recorded a personal best on the bars scoring a 9.850 to finish second against Ball State scoring a 9.850 on the beam against Texas Woman s, Dombart finished third overall summing up her freshman season, she finished 12th on bars and 17th on beam at the North Central Regional meet. Club/High School: Dombart was a U.S. national qualifier in 1998 and 1999 was the Georgia state beam and bars champion in 1998 finished second overall in the AA Regional Championships in 1999 after finishing second on the beam and floor and third on bars at Nationals in 1999, she finished fourth on beam finished second at the Georgia state meet in both 2000 and 2001 trained at the Gwinnett Gymnastics Center in Liliburn, Ga., under coaches Dan Thaxton, Beth Hair and Gregory Gutkin helped Gwinnett win the Georgia team championship four years running from 1998-01 graduated from Sequoyah High School with a perfect 4.0 GPA a member of the National Art Honors Society nominated as a National Merit Scholar and for the Governor s Award. Freshman (2002): Leapt onto the scene as Missouri s most decorated athlete in 2002 in 51 events during the season, the freshman only scored below a 9.8 on 14 apparatus and recorded a 9.9+ on 19 events she won 19 event titles, including three meets simultaneously winning the vault, bars, floor and all-around titles rewrote all five Mizzou freshman records in her first meet against Bowling Green, setting MU s highest all-time all-around record at 39.575 stunned spectators at the Cat Classic winning the floor exercise setting another all-time and Cat Classic record (9.925) again topped the feat scoring a 9.950 during the individual championship to lead the field and establish Mizzou and tournament highs won two event titles at the Corvette Cup scoring a 9.900 on bars and a 9.775 on vault earned Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors won the 2002 North Central Regional all-around title to become Missouri s first regional all-around champion in school history her 39.500 score was the second highest amongst all regional competitors be- came MU s first NCAA qualifier since Kellie Copeland in 1993 fin- ished second on bars, fourth on vault, fifth on floor and seventh on beam at the regional meet... became Missouri s second All-Ameri- can in school history finishing seventh on the vault at the NCAA Championships scoring a 9.875.
