After the Cardinals put up a run in the first inning, Hartford responded by putting two runs on the board in the third. Nick Vogel led off the inning with a walk and was followed by a bunt single by Jake Weston. With no outs and two runners on, Myles Zimdars sacrifice bunted for the first out. After a strike out, Blake Lazaris came up clutch with a two-run two-out single that scored both Vogel and Weston. Sun Prairie responded with two runs in the bottom half of the inning as they took advantage of three walks and a balk. The Cardinals would add insurance runs in the fourth and sixth innings to build their four run lead. Hartford's offense was halted by Sun Prairie's ace as they cumulated five hits and two walks on the game. The Orioles defense made two errors, had a balk and walked seven batters in the game. Zach Lutz threw 3 1/3 innings on the mound and was relieved by George Trawitzki for 2 2/3 innings in the final game of the year for Hartford. May May 31 - Hartford 2 (14-11), Watertown 1 In Watertown, Hartford squeezed home the game-winning run in the top of the 7th to put the Orioles into Sectionals for the first time since 2014. Both teams received dominant pitching performances from their starting pitchers. Zach Lutz (5-1) threw 6 2/3 innings giving up six hits, one run and struck out eight batters. The Orioles offense had only three hits, but put together timely at-bats to get their runs across. Garrett Thomas reached base to start the fifth inning, and was sacrificed to second by Zach Brewer. Bobby Crandall then drove a double to right-center to score Thomas and give the Orioles a 1-0 lead. After Watertown put a run on the board in the bottom half of the inning to tie it at 1, the Hartford defense showed up in the 6th. With two outs and a runner on first, Myles Zimdars tracked down a ball in deep right field that could have put the Goslings up by a run. With the momentum on Hartford's side, Thomas again led of an inning

reaching base, this time with a sharp single. Thomas then would steal second base and advance to third on the throw from the catcher. After a conference at the mound, Crandall laid down a suicide squeeze where Thomas was running on the pitch. A close play at home resulted in Thomas being safe, and the Orioles taking a 2-1 lead. In the bottom of the 7th, Watertown led off with a double. The Goslings then bunted the runner to third and while the play was being made at first, the runner was trying to score from second. First basemen Zach Brewer secured the out at first base and threw home to catcher Zach Braun to put out the Watertown base runner. With a runner on first and two outs, Cody Werner came in to record the final out on a fly ball to Crandall.
