In the hallenger Division each player gets a chance to bat. eams are set up according to abilities, rather than age and can include as many as 15-20 players. ne of the benefits of the hallenger Division is that it encourages the use of buddies for the players. he buddies assist the players on the field, but whenever possible, encourage the players to bat and make plays themselves. arents and teenagers are strongly encouraged to become involved in this uniquely-rewarding division of ittle eague. his year is hosting two teams (Giants and oyals) in the division. penings are always available and players can come from anywhere in the outh ay. Games are played on undays from 1:00-2:30pm. mazing Game! his past ednesday the inor ooks and ot ods took the field for a thriller of a game. It started as a pitchers duel between Dane Gramstrup of the ooks and Kyle hapiro of the ot ods. he ot ods took an early 4-0 lead on the ooks. he ooks cut the score in half with two runs in the 3rd. Jason Davis replaced Dane in the 3rd inning and kept the ot ods in check. In the 5th inning the ooks tied the score on a ground rule double by Jason Dimacali bringing two runs home. he ot ods quickly answered back by scoring two runs of their own in the top of the 6th on a David abros single to right and another player stole home giving them a 6-4 lead going into the bottom of the 6th inning. he ooks would not go away though, with the sun going down and it getting dark the ooks scored 3 runs for a come from behind win and a well played game by both teams.

If the ball nicks the bat and goes to the catcher s glove and is caught, this is a foul tip by definition. foul tip is a strike and the ball is alive. It is the same as a swing-and-miss. If the ball is not caught it is a foul ball. It is legal to steal on a foul tip.
