FACTS ABOUT THE POOL The Bernardsville Municipal Pool Complex is conveniently located on three spacious acres on Seney Drive, across from the Bedwell School s playground. The complex consists of an 180,000 gallon main pool, a wading pool complete with rain tree and squirting porpoise, and an intermediate pool. There is also a picnic area with grills and full service snack bar, a play area and plenty of parking on location. WE HAVE WHAT YOU RE LOOKING FOR Whether you enjoy reading at poolside or a vigorous exercising swim, you will enjoy doing it here, along with lots of other activities. The pool staff will provide planned programs such as water slimnastics for adults, games and fun for the youngsters, and ping-pong at NO CHARGE. (Some equipment may require a refundable deposit.) There are also special functions held at the pool such as Family Day, Teen Water Basketball and Movies. Why not have a party for a special someone in our lovely picnic area? THE SWIM SEASON FOR 2012 This swim season will begin May 26 th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. and end on Labor Day at 6:00 p.m.
POOL HOURS June 18th, 19th and 20th....3:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. The regular full time season begins Thursday, June 21 st at 11:00 a.m. Hours are: Main Pool & Intermediate Pool Weekdays and Saturdays 11:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. Sunday and Holidays Noon 8:00 p.m. Baby / Wading Pool Weekdays 10:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. Saturdays and after Swim Lessons End (August 3) 11:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. Sundays and Holidays 12:00 Noon 8:00 p.m. Beginning August 12th, pool closes at 7:30 p.m. Certain special events may require pool closings earlier than scheduled. New times will be posted prior to these events. In case of inclement weather, management reserves the right to close the pool without advance notice. Take advantage of the early registration discount offered in most categories. Discounts apply to applications received or postmarked by March 31, 2012, and those that registered on line on or before March 31, 2012. On or after April 1, 2012, the discount no longer applies. Two free guest passes will be given with each membership. Returning member s 2011 ID photo badge will automatically be renewed/validated once you are registered for the 2012 season. SWIM TEAM COMPETITION SWIM TEAM COMPETITION
The Swim Team competes in the Morris County Swim League. members up to and including the age of 18 are eligible. All student pool SWIM TEAM FEES Members Only $90.00 An active group of parents is involved with the Swim Team, and its valuable support is greatly appreciated by the Recreation Department, pool staff and swimmers. Please contact the Recreation Office if you would like to be a part of this support group. Pool members may now sign up for swim lessons and swim team once your 2012 membership has been processed. There will not be a second mail out of swim team and lessons information. SWIM LESSONS FOR EVERYONE! Swim Lessons Fee $80.00 Last year the swim lesson program was filled to capacity. Be sure to register early! Lessons will be daily for two weeks on week day mornings prior to pool opening. Registration is on a first paid, first served basis. The swim pool management reserves the right to cancel any class when insufficient registration warrants cancellation. IMPORTANT Swim Team and swim lessons book up quickly. Register early. All registrations will be handled through the Recreation Office. No in-person registration for these two programs will be accepted at the pool. Pool members may sign up for swim lessons and swim team once your 2012 membership has been processed. There will not be a second mail out of swim team and lessons information. Private lessons are available and can be scheduled after the season begins. $45.00 per ½ hour; $160.00 for four ½ hour sessions. These can only be scheduled and paid for through the Recreation office directly.
GUEST POLICY Guest passes will be available in books of six passes for $50.00 and books of 10 passes for $80.00. Guest passes may also be purchased on a daily basis for $10.00 per pass prior to August 1, $5.00 thereafter. Guest passes not used during the season will not be refunded or carried into the next season. Children under 6 months are free.
