Crystal City Sports Pub 18 th Annual Sports Challenge & Charity Fundraiser 2016 Kick-Off Challenge: Saturday, February 6 th Competition Dates: Sunday, February 14 th, 21 st, 28 th Finals: Sunday, March 6 th
Sports Pub Challenge History Twenty years ago owner John Finlay and a group of friends founded the Sports Pub Challenge with the purpose of bringing some fun and energy to the Sports Pub on Sunday nights after football season. A friendly competition that incorporates bar style games was created to give our customers an opportunity to have some fun during the cold, winter months. The owners of the Sports Pub soon realized the need to give back to our community and created the Charity Fundraiser part of the Sports Pub Challenge. This is a way to raise money for local charities, schools, and churches. As we enter into the 20 th year and the 18 th Sports Pub Challenge, our goal remains to create energy at the Pub on Sunday nights along with friendly competition while raising money to help support our neighborhood community. Thank you for your continued support of this event! GOOD LUCK! And, remember it s for charity! Charities 1. S.C.A.N. (Stop Child Abuse Now) 2.
