Forearm Pass (Bump) with Partner Start with toss. Use the forearm pass to rally back and forth with your partner. Ready Position Place feet shoulder width apart with toes pointed straight ahead. Place 1 foot forward and bend your knees and get low. Stretch arms out in front; lock elbows straight. Make a fist with 1 hand and wrap it with the other. Place thumbs side-by-side and point slightly down. Create flat platform with forearms. Execution Position yourself in front of the incoming ball so you can step into pass. Watch as ball contacts your forearms. As ball makes contact, straighten knees, shrug shoulders, and move arms up slightly to pass. How many passes can you make in a row? How many passes can you make so your partner doesn t have to move?

Overhead Pass (Set) With Partner Start with toss. Set back and forth with your partner. Ready Position Point your toes straight ahead and feet shoulder width apart. Place 1 foot slightly forward, bend your knees, and get low. Square your shoulders to the target. Raise arms overhead; bend elbows out to sides to create a large diamond. Make hands in the shape of the ball; point thumbs toward eyes. Execution Position yourself under the incoming ball so you can step forward and into the pass. Watch ball contact finger pads. Extend your knees, elbows, and wrists toward your target. Allow hands to give (spring back) on contact. How many sets can you make in a row? How many sets can you make at least 3' above your head?

Volley Alternate forearm passing (bumping) and overhead passing (setting). Move to ball. Call, Mine. If lower than your chest, bump. If higher, set. Can you alternate sets and bumps 10X in a row? While 1 partner stands in the center, can the other move in a slow circle around the center partner, moving clockwise after each pass?

Service Ping Pong Take turns serving back and forth. Start with feet together; hips and shoulders squared to target. Bring serving arm back a little higher than your waist. Hold ball on palm of non-serving hand, hip high, out in front. Step towards target with your opposite foot, then swing serving hand forward. Strike the ball just below mid-line with heel of hand (do not toss) and follow through. Try to serve the ball so your partner can catch it after 1 bounce. Start close. If you make 2 catches in a row, each of you take 1 step back. If you each catch a serve in the air, both take 1 step back. How far back can your pair go in 3 minutes?

Cooperative Volleyball Groups of 4-6. Start with a toss and keep the ball in play by bumping and setting. Ball may bounce once if needed. Move to the ball. Call, Mine. Don t hesitate, be aggressive to the ball. Challenge How many hits can your group make in a row?

Pass and Follow Groups of 4-6. Make 2 file lines facing each other, 10' apart. Start with toss to opposite side. Player in front of line uses pass or set to hit to opposite side. After hitting, run to your R and to the end of the opposite line. Call, Mine! Bump or set high. Run to your right. How many times can your group hit in a row? = Pass = Run

Cross Over Groups of 4. All stand on 1 side of a line in a circle formation. After each person passes the ball in the circle, they move to other side of the line. The last person to pass the ball throws it over the line to the rest of the group, then follows over the line. Repeat in the opposite direction. Call, Mine! Bump or set high. Run to other side of line after passing. How many times can your group cross it over in a row?
