Welcome to the 2011 BC Senior Games! The games are open to anyone who will be 55 years old in 2011 unless specified. (5k run/walk is open to all ages) Everyone must fill out a registration form & pay the $12.00 fee. This fee covers all events (except the 5k run/walk, golf & bowling, they have an extra charge, see registration form). All participants that pay the registration fee will receive one Senior Games shirt. Gender and Age Categories: Golf (regular) is divided by age categories in five-year increments and gender categories. Bowling, horseshoes, captain and mate golf, age brackets are determined by average age of pair. Team events are divided as: Basketball - Age group by teams 55-59 and 60 + Softball Men s 55+, 65+ and 70+ (follow league rules on eligibility) Volleyball Competitive 55-59, 60-64, & 65+ Volleyball Recreational No age category Each team will be placed into the age category of the youngest participant. There is a non-refundable $25 team fee for softball (55, 65 and 70). We reserve the right to change age categories & format based on participant numbers. You will not be sent a confirmation. Race starts at 6:00 pm There is an additional charge of $3 per person with race shirt if registered before August 22 and an additional charge of $6 without race shirt if registered after August 22 and on Race Day. All rounds will be played to 6 game sets with 7 th point tie breaker. Split sets add 10 point tie breaker. No add scoring. Age groups will be dependent on the number of entries and all will be established by the committee. Bring your racket, balls supplied.
