And UNLEASHED begins... NOW. [A4 - INTRO_NEWS_ROYALTY] Good morning Wildcats. Voting for homecoming royalty starts today. If you are a powderpuff cheerleader, practice

is today and tomorrow, in both gyms, during lunch. For powderpuff football players, here are the practice times... The freshmen and sophomores practice today and tomorrow, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, on the JV softball field. If you have any questions, please email or see your coaches. The juniors and seniors practice in the same location, right after the freshmen and sophomores. Please go to the JV softball field, from 5:00-6:00 pm, to practice. Remember, practice ends tomorrow and the game is on Monday. [A6 - NEWS_FLOAT CONSTRUCTION] Homecoming Float Construction starts on Saturday. Grab your power tools and plans and meet on the blacktop Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. All students are invited to contribute to their class's float. Leadership will provide food, snacks, and music. Again float construction is Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 5pm on the blacktop. [A7 - NEWS_DEBATE CLUB] In other news, The Debate Club is having their first meeting on tomorrow, during lunch, in room D-9. The debates are informal and meant for students to hear and share various perspectives on social issues. All students are welcome. Again, the debate club meets on tomorrow, at lunch. [A8 - NEWS_CAP GOWN] And... Seniors, Cap and gown orders are due tomorrow. There are 3 ways to order... first, submit your form, with payment, to the student store. Second, submit your order to the Premier Grad Products rep here tomorrow, in the small gym, during lunch. Or third, submit your order online. Stop by the student store if you have any questions or to pick up a form. [A9 - NEWS_KEY CLUB] The Key club is going to Six Flags on October 20th to help raise awareness for the Pediatric Trauma Program. The Key Club is at the park from 10:00 am to 9:00pm. Also, they are hosting a fundraiser today, at California Pizza Kitchen, to help pay for the cost of tickets and transportation. If you're interested in joining the club or going to Six Flags, go to the club's next meeting, tomorrow, at lunch, in room F-5. [A10 - NEWS_FLOAT CONSTRUCTION] Earlier in the show we told you about Homecoming float construction. Reporter Karla Barajas is outside with senior class officer Emily Brustman, to tell us more about what to expect this weekend... Karla... [A11 - NEWS_FEATURE PACKAGE] Over 9 billion farm animals were slaughtered last year in the United States and Blackberry Creek Animal Sanctuary, in Colfax, works to change this statistic. Reporter Hannah MacKenzie and photographer Julie West watched how one student spends her time helping at the animal sanctuary... and being the voice of those who can only crow. [A12 - NEWS_FEATURE PACKAGE_OUT] Blackberry Creek is always looking for more helpers,

and you can even apply to receive a $1000 scholarship after becoming a regular volunteer. Comment about the TOPIC from package... [A13 - INTRO TO THE WORD] Now... the volleyball teams have had many tournaments this year, including one this past weekend in Sacramento. And... JV just won first place after winning 5 of the 6 games they played. Here's Julia Ruccione with more about the team's win in your... "Word around Campus." [A14 - THE WORD] UP FIRST, Sophomore Allyson Ikeda SHARED THIS ON... INSTAGRAM WITH THE HASHTAG WHSUNLEASHED. In this picture, Allyson is with the JV Volleyball team at the Carmichael Invitation Tournament. The team went 5-1 and they beat two SFL league teams. Allyson said that winning 1st place brought them closer as a team. AND THIS WEEK WE ASKED YOU to tell us about what you and your friends like to do, to go with our youth group story USING THE HASHTAG WHSUNLEASHED. Sophomore Camma Musser said she loves going to country concerts with her best friend. In this picture Camma is with Junior Ashley Ancker at the Toyota amphitheatre for Jason Aldean's High Noon Neon Tour. Camma said she is looking forward to upcoming concerts and trips with Ashley. NOW, WE WENT ON TWITTER TO FIND OUT WHAT'S TRENDING... and this horse really walked into a bar, or rather, a cafe. This runaway horse busted into a French Cafe on Monday in France. Before the horse made its way into the building, it had bucked its rider off at a nearby stable. Workers and customers frantically ran out of the way as the horse galloped down the aisle before running back out of the Cafe. [A15 - OUT WORD_BE RIGHT BACK] The French Cafe in the video is a place for locals to watch horse races.. but I bet they never would have thought they would see a race horse THAT close. Comment about the WORD... Comment about the WORD... We'll be right back. [B1 - WELCOME BACK_COLLEGE] WELCOME BACK... and thank you Maddie Papenfuss and Maddie Cortez for that PSA. Now, here are some opportunities you can find in the College and Career Center... There are several college representatives presenting this week. Here are a few...
