BOATSWAIN o Guns are properly secured for sea o Top of sweeps is properly secured for sea o Brows and net are struck and stowed as needed. o Dock lines are properly singled-up, chafe gear removed o Sail covers are off and stowed in sail crib o Port Anchor is off the rail, but not catted, with a fluke lashing and shank lashing made off to cleats to drop anchor quickly, if necessary. ENGINEERING o Top up water tanks the afternoon before departure. o Sound Sewage tanks the afternoon before departure. o Sound Fuel tanks the afternoon before departure. o Sound and fill as needed the day-tank, one hour before departure. o Check fuel shutoffs for correct position (operate weekly). o Check all fuel valves on the fuel manifold before each start-up. o Fire up main engines and a Mase generator one hour before departure.
