Engine Hour Meter Fuel Gauge Under the companionway steps. For full access lift the steps up and out. On helm. Digital hour meter below tachometer. Starboard stern lazarette. Turn OFF at slip. Helm engine control panel digital hour meter below tachometer. Located on tachometer as a digital display. Ignition/Start/Stop Electronic & Key-less 1. Turns the ignition ON. Be sure to do this before pushing START button. Press, release and wait for display screen below tachometer to turn on and 2 beeps. 4. Turns the ignition OFF. Be sure to do this after pushing STOP button. Press, release and wait for display screen below tachometer to turn off. 2. Press and hold until engine starts 3. Press and hold until engine stops. Glow Plug None: N/A Throttle/Shift Single Lever Control Engine Starting Warning! Never turn the battery switch to OFF while the engine is running! Stop Engine Dipstick Check oil only if necessary. Single handle on the starboard side of the helm pedestal; forward for forward, middle for neutral, and back for reverse; further forward or reverse as needed for throttle. To disengage the transmission, pull out silver button at the base of the shift lever so the throttle can be advanced without going into gear. This can only be done in neutral. To re-engage the transmission, bring the handle to neutral and push in silver button. When pushed in you can see the knob rotate when shifting. Before dropping dock lines run through shifting and throttle advance until you understand this and are comfortable. 1. Deactivate and disconnect shore power. Turn Battery Switch to Both/All. 2. Make sure shift is in neutral, throttle 50%, ignition on. 3. Follow steps 1 & 2 in Ignition/Start/Stop instructions above. If engine does not start within 5 sec., recheck that steps 1 & 2 were performed exactly and retry. 4. Check the engine exhaust at the bottom of the transom to see that water is being exhausted out. Warm up for 15 minutes. 5. Before dropping dock lines run through shifting and throttle advance until comfortable. Follow steps 3 & 4 in Ignition/Start/Stop instructions above. Starboard (low), access through the hatch in the Head.
Electrical Panel Battery Switch Never turn any battery switch off while engine is running! Electrical Above the Chart Table (Main cabin Starboard). Leave AC and Battery Charger ON. Stern lazarette (Starboard). Turn OFF at slip. 2 Battery Charging Both batteries require 2 to 4 hours to recharge when charge levels are low. Monitor battery levels frequently! (SEE: Monitoring Batteries ) At the end of charter, leave battery switch on OFF! There are 2 methods for charging the batteries on board. Shore Power: 1. Plug in Shore Power cord at the receptacle on the port side of the aft cockpit. Make sure it s plugged in and the AC breaker switch is ON at the Dock Box. 2. On the AC power panel: Toggle on the Master Breaker and Battery Charger breakers. Red lights next to these breakers should be lit. Charging Batteries with Engine: 1. Turn Battery Switches ON and start engine following Engine Starting procedures. 2. Adjust the Throttle lever until the tachometer is between 1500 and 1800 rpm. After batteries are charged and engine is off, turn Engine Start switch OFF (for boats having both engine and house batteries). Monitoring Batteries Monitor battery levels frequently when using 12 volt services! After charter: leave battery switch on OFF and battery charger toggle ON. Method for Monitoring Battery Level: NOTE: It is NOT necessary for battery switches to be ON to monitor batteries. Located forward of galley, see analog battery monitor. The Battery Charger is located under the Nav station, mounted on the outboard bulkhead. A BLUE light on the face of the charger should be ON. The Charger has a Trickle charge for the batteries when needed. Battery Location Helm Instruments Stern lazarette (Starboard). To activate the helm instruments: 1. Turn on the House Batteries switch. 2. On the electrical control panel toggle on the Electronics breaker. Jib Main Sails Fractional jib on a roller furling, take up line on the Starboard rail. Halyard leads aft over the companionway (locking cleat outside Port). Lower the lazy jacks after raising the sail and tie back. Untie and put back up to take down the sail. Keep boat straight into the wind to avoid hang ups when raising. Halyard, sheet, reef lines and vang lead aft to locking cleats on top of the companionway. Vang and reef Port, other three Starboard.
Water Tanks Fuel Tank Do not leave fuel filler nozzle unattended when fueling! Holding Tank Report on discrepancy report that zip-tie has been cut. Staff will install new tie. Tankage Fill Fitting: Located on the starboard bow well forward. Tank Location: Under the V berth. Tank Holds: 75 gallons. Fill Fitting: Located outside the cockpit (Port, well aft). Tank Location: Under the Stern lazarette (Port). Tank Holds: 29 gallons. Located: Under the Stern lazarette (Starboard). Capacity: 30 gallons Pump-out Fitting: Located outside the cockpit (Starboard, well aft). Emptying the Holding Tank at Sea: 1. Turn on the Battery Switch to ALL or Both. 2. Locate the macerator through hull located in the Swim Step lazarette (Starboard) cut the Zip Tie, open the through hull (handle up and parallel to the line). Do not confuse the macerator through hull with the larger through hull in the same area, this is the head direct overboard discharge valve. 3. Turn the macerator on at the Electrical panel and run until free not more than five minutes 4. Locate the Macerator Pump, Macerator Button and Macerator Through Hull under aft end of the Port settee bench access cover. 5. Close the Macerator Through Hull valve (Move handle to a horizontal position perpendicular to the hose). 3 Head Operation Nothing goes in the bowl that has not been consumed first except marine toilet paper! Make sure Head Intake valve is open. The valve is open if the handle is perpendicular to the hull. 1. On the right side of the bowl is the pump and handle. 2. On the front of the pump is a selector valve with Dry & Flush on its face. 3. Pump the handle to wet the bowl. 4. After use, pump the handle 8 to 10 to empty the bowl. 5. When bowl is empty, turn the selector to the Dry position and pump handle until the bowl is dry. To Put Head on Overboard: 1. Open the large through hull accessed in the head forward of the water inlet through hull (parallel to the line is open). 2. Turn the valve just forward of the holding tank to overboard (large part of the handle points forward). 3. Return valve just forward of the holding tank to holding tank (large part of the handle points up). Overboard Discharge of Head 1. Locate the head direct overboard discharge valve located in the Swim Step lazarette (Starboard) open the valave (handle up and parallel to the line). 2. Locate and switch Y valve to Overboard located under aft berth, center.

Manual Bilge Pump: Located on the side of the cockpit seat (Starboard aft of the helm). Automatic Bilge Pump Switch: Located in the electrical panel, pump is located in the bilge just aft of the mast. Refrigerator: DC switch on the electrical panel. Stove: Propane, tanks in the swim step lazarette (port). Safety switch below the Electrical Panel. Galley Sink: Drains to a through hull under the sink cabinet.
