Raheel Manji - University of Indiana Raheel Manji was a significant part of the ACE family for many years. We're thrilled for what he has accomplished, what he brought to ACE and the lessons he left behind for fellow ACE teammates. Raheel is now a Hoosier playing for the University of Indiana and we couldn't be more proud. During his transition, Raheel sent the ACE team a letter where he shares his experiences at ACE and what the ACE family means to him. To read the full letter, click here. Recently, we had the chance to catch up with Raheel and learned about his first 2 months of the fall season at the NCAA level and how he's transitioning to this next stage of competition.
"The difference became that I was no longer competing for just myself, but now I have a team and obligations to hold myself accountable for as well. It doesn't matter how old you are anymore or what age group you're in, once you're here, playing for the Indiana Hoosiers, you're looked and treated as a man and to behave and work anything less than that, doesn't even cross minds. Honestly, the transition was extremely difficult and eye opening for me, but I really started to see how much more I am able to push limits."...read the full story here. Raheel Manji, University of Indiana Good luck Raheel, the ACE team is always behind you! Special Announcements Sue Wilson Parent Seminars Two parent seminars hosted by Dr. Vietta (Sue) Wilson focusing on parents of competitive tennis players were recently held. The first seminar was held on October 11th at Cedar Springs where approximately 30 people attended. The second seminar was held on October 18th at Mayfair Parkway where approximately 45 parents attended. Coach Casey Curtis had this to say about Sue following the seminar at Mayfair Parkway, "Sue's seminar at our club was a huge success. With close to 50 parents in attendance, Sue held the interest of everyone there for nearly 90 minutes. Her delivery of very relevant information was obviously appreciated by all. Sue's command of the intricacies of the Psychological aspects surrounding the dynamics of competitive situations in sport make her seminars a must for each and every individual involved in competitive sport. Whether you are a player, parent or coach of a player, you will be better at your role after hearing Sue speak. When Sue speaks - I listen!"
