Moore's 3-pointer topped off a 13-4 start for Minnesota but a pair of treys from Delle Donne and one from Allie Quigley pushed the Sky in front 30-24 after one quarter. The lead changed hands seven times in the second, with two Moore free throws in the closing seconds giving the Lynx a 52-51 halftime edge. Chicago opened the third period with a 13-2 burst, grabbing its largest lead at 64-54 on a pair of Jamierra Faulkner free throws at the 5:07 mark. Trailing by seven entering the fourth, Jia Perkins' threepoint play kick-started a 10-2 comeback and Moore's jumper with 6:15 to play put Minnesota ahead to stay at 75-74. Moore's sixth trey of the night made it an 85-80 lead in the final minute and, following two Delle Donne free throws, Rebekkah Brunson's steal and layup with 8.7 seconds left sealed the win. Seimone Augustus finished with 16 points and Sylvia Fowles added 15 for Minnesota, while Faulkner collected 18 points and seven assists for the Sky. Previous Game: Saturday, July 2 Minnesota 91, San Antonio 68 Natasha Howard scored a career-high 21 points as the Lynx ended a three-game skid by routing San Antonio, 91-68, on Saturday night at Target Center. Minnesota never trailed, jumping ahead 19-12 after one quarter behind seven points and six rebounds from Sylvia Fowles and stretching the lead to 15 when Rebekkah Brunson capped a 14-6 start to the second. Moriah Jefferson kept the Stars within reach at 41-28 with 1:55 remaining in the period, but Maya Moore's jumper ignited a 17-2 onslaught over the next five minutes as the margin ballooned to 28 early in the third. San Antonio lost Kayla McBride to injury shortly thereafter, and Howard registered seven consecutive points to help Minnesota carry a 30-point advantage into the fourth quarter. Jia Perkins' jumper gave the Lynx their largest lead of the night at 75-43 with 8:51 left before San Antonio narrowed the final gap to 23. Moore and Perkins scored 14 points apiece for Minnesota while Lindsay Whalen added a dozen and Brunson hauled down a season-high 12 rebounds. before Game 1, the only other defeat was vs. Indiana in the 2012 Finals opener Minnesota had inched ahead 2-1 in the series with an 80-77 road victory on Oct. 9, netting the final six points of the game on 3-pointers by Renee Montgomery at the 1:11 mark and Maya Moore at the buzzer It's the ninth time in club history (first in the playoffs) Minnesota has won a game by scoring the deciding points in the final :02; each of the last three have now come in Indianapolis (Lindsay Whalen, Sept. 14, 2012; Seimone Augustus, Aug. 5, 2014) The Lynx are now 9-11 all-time on the road in the postseason; they dropped both trips to the Fieldhouse in the 2012 Finals (76-59 on Oct. 19, 87-78 on Oct. 21) Minnesota evened the Finals with the 77-71 Game 2 win on Oct. 6 at Target Center The Lynx spotted Indiana a 10-point, 1st-quarter lead before rallying; it's the eighth time they've overcome a double-digit deficit to win a playoff game (first this season) Indiana halted the Lynx' 10-game home playoff winning streak with the 75-69 Game 1 verdict on Oct. 4 Over the last five postseasons, the Fever are the only visiting team to win at Target Center; they opened the 2012 WNBA Finals with a 76-70 victory (Oct. 12) and went on to win the series in four games In that five-year stretch, half of Minnesota's 10 playoff losses have been to Indiana; they've gone 4-5 vs. the Fever and 25-5 against all other opponents Still, Minnesota is 30-14 (.682) all-time in the WNBA Playoffs and 21-3 (.875) at Target Center; both marks are the best for any team in league postseason history BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME: The Game 5 win over Indiana marked the first time in their seven playoff appearances that the Lynx' final game was played at Target Center Minnesota won its first two WNBA titles (2011, 2013) in Atlanta, lost in the 2012 Finals in Indianapolis, fell in the 2014 Western Conference Finals in Phoenix, and saw its first two playoff forays end in the first round in Los Angeles (2003) and Seattle (2004), respectively Overall, the Lynx have ended only three of their 17 WNBA seasons at home (2005, 2007, 2015) Minnesota is 4-0 all-time in close-out games at Target Center, winning Western Conference Semifinal Game 3s vs. San Antonio in 2011 (85-67 on Sept. 20), Seattle in 2012 (73-72 on Oct. 2) and Los Angeles in 2015 (91-80 on Sept. 22) The Lynx are now 12-7 in all potential close-out games (0-2 in 2003, 3-1 in 2011, 2-1 in 2012, 3-0 in 2013, 1-1 in 2014 and 3-2 in 2015) FINDING THE RANGE: The Lynx shot 51.6% (32-for-62) in the Game 3 win at Indiana, the first time they'd topped 50% from the floor in a 2015 road game since a 50.8% effort in the July 14 victory at Connecticut Minnesota's previous best postseason percentage was a 45.0% night vs. Los Angeles in the Sept. 18 opener at Target Center The Lynx improve to 9-0 all-time in the WNBA Playoffs when shooting 50%+ from the floor In addition, Minnesota went 7-for-13 (53.8%) from beyond the arc at Indiana in Game 3, its most prolific night of the 2015 postseason The Lynx shot a combined 40.0% (22-for-55) in four playoff road starts, including 6-for-14 at Los Angeles on Sept. 20 and 6-for-15 in the Game 2 win at Phoenix on Sept. 27 On the flipside, they hit just 19.6% (11-for-56) from long range in six Target Center appearances, including a combined 4-for-24 (16.7%) vs. Indiana in three Finals games DEFENSIVE DOINGS: Minnesota held the Fever to 35.7% (20-for-56) in Game 5 on Oct. 14, its second sub-40% defensive effort in the Finals and third of the 2015 Playoffs (Indiana shot 36.0% in Game 1 on Oct. 4, Phoenix hit just 32.8% on Sept. 24); the Lynx ranked 2nd in the WNBA in 2015 in fewest second-chance points allowed (9.7 ppg) They surrendered a total of 27 points to the Fever in that category for the remaining four games of the series, finishing the postseason at 7.5 ppg allowed in 10 contests
