Halls Welcome and Residential Advisor teams are on hand to ensure your check in goes smoothly and assist you with any last minute questions. 10am till 4pm Look out for our street performers and the guys and girls from the Guild. Laptop Clinics Conference Room One Crown Place 12noon till 11pm- The Creche of Mum and Dad hosted by the AJ (Augustus John Pub -next door). Why not leave mum and dad at the Award Winning AJ while you check in and unpack. The AJ will be a hive of activity, and with plenty of drinks offers and live sport and music on offer it s the perfect place to keep the folks happy. Why not catch up with them later and meet your fellow hall mates and families over a chilled drink and watch the live screening of the Rugby World Cup. Held by our Computer Services Dept it s your chance to fix any problems you may have connecting to the network at your hall. Bring your laptop along and let our CSD team assist you. The team are there the same time on Sunday too!

Organised by your Residential Advisor (they ll give you more info), there will be some drinks provided. Monday 21st 2pm till 4pm Crafternoons- VG&M (the red brick building) Our Experienced artist will lead the session in using vintage books and maps to create bespoke necklaces and brooches. Unique accessories for yourself, or friends if you can part with them! This FREE session is held in the cafe on the ground floor and is on a first come first served basis. Monday 21st Sept- Wardens Talks Held in the Crypt (next to the Foundation Building by Tesco; look out for our guides in yellow t-shirts). Your MANDATORY Warden Talks are held at the same time as the Arrivals EXPO you need arrive for the following times: 4:15pm - Block 2 Crown Place all standard rooms in Core E and Core F all rooms, then visit the EXPO after your talk. 5pm - Block 2 Crown Place all of core D rooms and all studios in core E, then visit the EXPO after your talk. 5:45pm - Block 1 Crown Place cores A and B, then visit the EXPO after your talk. 6:30pm - Block 1 Crown Place core C only (visit the EXPO before your talk from 6pm). 7:10pm - Block 3 Crown Place cores G and H (visit the EXPO before your talk from 6:30pm).
Monday 21st continued 2pm - Liverpool s Old ck Tour and Liverpool ONE. Departing from Vine Court Reception this FREE tour is your chance to discover the wonders of Liverpool s original old dock and the city s great maritime history. After visiting the Old ck our guide will take you to the heart of the 42 acre Liverpool ONE shopping area where you will have free time to shop to your heart s delight. 4pm till 7pm - Arrivals EXPO - do event! Held in the Liverpool Met Cathedral Lutyens Crypt (next to the Foundation Building by Tesco; look out for our guides in yellow t- shirts). Want to know all there is about living in our halls? This is your chance to get the inside knowledge on what s hot about living here at the University. Visit our stalls to get advice and help from Student Support Services, register with Student Health, get that essential job advice from the Careers and Employability Service, not to mention all you need to know all about your halls sports teams from Sport Liverpool. There are plenty of opportunities to bag a freebie or two and a chance to enter our FREE PRIZE DRAW. This is your perfect opportunity to find out about joining your Hall Student Committee and Student Guiding Team and make a big difference to your own hall. 8pm - Studio Welcome, Make your way down to the common room to meet up with your fellow studio roomies. We have drinks, snacks and prizes available, definitely an event not to be missed! Tuesday 22nd 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm - Campus Tours These tours commence at the Guild of Students (Reilly Building) They are FREE and the perfect way to get to know your university better. Sign up at the Guild Reception. 1pm - Local Food Shopping Tour Departing from Crown Place Reception this FREE tour takes you to all the well known and loved student shopping areas. We will take you to the bargain hunters paradise of London Road and Liverpool s famous Chinese Supermarkets. Bring your walking shoes as you will need them! 2pm till 4pm Crafternoons- VG&M (the red brick building) Learn the skill of tissue and paper craft with our experienced artist. Create giant tissue paper pom pom drops, multi-coloured garlands and different style blooms! Just the thing to decorate your new student accommodation. 6pm Faculty Mixers Want to meet other people from the campus halls who are on your course? Come to our get togethers tonight and tomorrow at either Crown Place common room area (CP) or Vine Court common room mezzanine area (VC). Tonights sessions are:- School of Arts; School of Histories, Languages and Cultures - CP School of Law and Social Justice; Management School; School of Combined Honours - VC 7:30pm Pool and Games Zone at Crown Place (common room area). Come along and join our pool tournament or pit your wits against your fellow neighbours with giant board games, Xbox, ping pong; it s sure to be fun! Wednesday 23rd 4pm -Shiverpool Ghost Tour Bookable at the Guild Reception this is your chance to discover Liverpool s haunted past. This tour is part of your Give it a go programme and has been greatly reduced to the bargain price of just 2 per person. Saturday 26th 12pm Walking Tour of Liverpool Always a popular tour with Arthur our resident expert on all that is Liverpool. Expect to be gone at least half a day. There is plenty of time to see the top city sights, get in depth information on the city and meet new friends.
