National Tournaments Entrants List The UK Masters 2015 Location Rounds Dates 6 and 7 June 2015 Guest of Honour Judges Lilleshall National Sports and Conferencing Centre, Newport, Shropshire, TF10 9AT. World Record Status World Archery 50 and 70m rounds followed by Head to Heads. Ladies and Gents World Archery 1440 Star Rounds. Practice Registration Event Timings Event Format Dress Drug Testing Lost Arrows Refreshments Photography Camping Weather and preparation permitting; practice targets will be available on the tournament field from 5pm to 6.30pm on Friday under D.O.S. control. Please do not enter the field of play to erect tents before 4.00pm on Friday. Registration from 8.00am on both days. Membership cards will be required for our automatic booking in. If you are not yet in possession of a 2014/2015 card, please bring proof that you have paid your membership to your club. Assembly at 8.30am on both days. Practice of up to 45 mins from 8.45am The competition will start immediately afterwards. Saturday Following practice the WA 50/70m round will be shot in a single detail with six arrows shot in four minutes. There will be a comfort break at three dozen. On completion of the ranking round there will be a break while the seedings are completed for the Head to Head rounds. Official practice for the afternoon will be taken during this time. All Archers will go through to the Head to Head, and higher placed Archers will receive a bye in the earlier rounds. Matches will be shot to current WA rules. Sunday Following practice the Ladies and Gents WA 1440 round will be shot in a single detail with six arrows shot in four minutes all throughout the day. Compounds and Recurves will shoot on individual six zone 80cm faces at 50 and 30m Barebows and Longbows will shoot on a full single 80cm face at both 50m and 30m Please refer to the Archery GB Rules of Shooting for the dress regulations. Archers should comply with dress regulations until after the presentations. Archers competing at record status tournaments may be liable for drugs testing. Competitors who are approached to give samples must comply. Non-compliance will be treated as a positive result. Parents / Guardians must sign the relevant box on the entry forms giving consent for junior archers (Under 18 s) to be drug tested if approached. Lost arrows must be reported to a judge or member of the field party. (Please remember to inform them if you later find the arrow). It is the archers responsibility to account for all arrows before leaving the field. On both days, food will be available from the Lilleshall shop in the cricket pavillion. In line with the recommendation in the Archery GB Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy, the organisers of this event request that any person wishing to engage in any video, zoom or close range photography should register their details with Tournament Organiser at the registration desk before carrying out any such photography. If parents/carers have any particular concern about their child/young person being photographed or filmed they should notify the organisers. The National Tournaments Committee reserves the right to decline entry to any person unable to meet or abide by these conditions. If you are concerned about any photography taking place at this event, please contact the Tournament Organiser who will be pleased to discuss this matter with you. Special Note Smoking Stoves and Burners Pets Poor Weather Car Parking The U.K. Masters Title Tournament Secretary Disputes available in the pavilion or Queens Hall only. Collect your permit at registration and display it prominently. Units not displaying a permit, may be approached for payment. Archers who are unable to get to the target should arrange for an assistant to aid in scoring and arrow collection. If this is not possible please contact the organiser so we can discuss any requirements. Designated smoking area - 10m behind the tent line. Please note that this rule applies to those using electronic cigarettes. Please do not put stoves, burners or hot water urns directly on the grass Pets are not permitted at the Lilleshall Sports and Conferencing Centre In the event of protracted poor weather, to confirm that the ground is suitable for the event, please contact Lilleshall on 01952603003 Parking is limited near the archery field, and primarily for disabled archers. Archers driving on a daily basis should follow the stewards instructions. Wenlock Hall car park is recommended for those wishing to transfer equipment by trolley. National Trophies will be awarded to the highest placed British Archery GB members. The winners of the U.K. Masters titles will be based on the archers overall performances throughout the three elements of the event (50m or 70m round, head to head and Ladies or Gents WA1440 round). The awards will be decided as follows: 50m or 70m round The highest scoring archer in each category (ladies, gentlemen, recurve, compound and longbow) will be awarded one point. The second placed will be awarded two points, etc. Head to Head The archers will be seeded for the head to head based on their positions in the ranking round. All archers will progress to the head to head element. If there are not exactly 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 or 128 archers then the highest seeded archers will receive byes in their first round. An archer winning their head to head event will receive one point, the losing finalist two points, the winner of the third place shoot off three points, the loser of the third place shoot off four points. Ladies and Gents WA 1440 round - The highest scoring archer in each category (ladies, gentlemen, recurve, compound and longbow) will be awarded one point. The second placed will be awarded two points, etc. Overall Titles The archer with the lowest points total will be the winner, second lowest will be second place, etc. If archers tie on points the awards will be based on their final positions in the head to head round. If still tied the awards will be based on their final positions in the Ladies and Gents WA 1440 round. Other Awards The distance awards, Long Metric awards, the Petty Trophy (NCAS v SCAS) will be decided on the Ladies and Gents WA 1440 round. If there are insufficient longbow entries, the longbow awards will be decided on the WA round. After presentation, all trophies must be returned to the tournament organisers.
