Take off was out of the Spalding ramp. We tried a new resort this year and stayed at Country Inn Resort. Owners Rich and Mary Yochim were great hosts and we recommend the resort to anyone visiting Mark Twain Lake. There were only 24 fish weighed in and 20 of those were caught by the top five winning teams. Four other boats had one fish each and six boats came in with empty live wells. Skies were clear to hazy with winds averaging 10-15 mph and temperatures ranging from 70-90 degrees. The water was stained and water temperatures were in the low to mid 80 s. Normally in June the lake is up but it was down a couple of feet which probably contributed to the low number of fish brought to the scales. www.hawghawlers.com 1988-2012
