Chaplains Corner How to Win the Battle Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:14-15 The promised word of God says that if we meet our battles with peace and respond to the upsets in life with peace, we will experience victory. It s a paradox; it doesn t make any sense. How can we win if we stop fighting? Moses told the Israelites not to fight when they found the Red Sea facing them on one side and the Egyptian army chasing them on the other. They became frightened and he told them, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest - Exodus 14:13-14. They were at war and it was necessary for them to respond with peace in order for God to win them their battle. God will fight for you as you show your confidence in Him and his promises by being peaceful. Hold on to your peace, He will do the same for you. Are you fighting a battle when you should be holding your peace? Choose to stop fighting and trust God to fight for you. That is how to win a battle. Please pray for: Jane Gray / Dave Hayes / Ron Atkinson / Jeff Hall / Steve Curry / Herb Ritchie / Darlene Probus / Jonah Grogan / Garry Dalton / Wayne Ray / Jim Davidson / Charlotte VanKirk / Sally McKinney / Eddie Gilmore / Mary Archambault Please feel free to contact Post 113 Chaplain Randy, for prayer needs and also to share our legion blessings. 270 300-7288 Send an email to: james.crank@twc.com Concert / Dance with the acclaimed rock and roll band, Rock Station Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 12th! Music starts at 8:00pm until midnight. Cost is $10.00 a ticket @ the door but is FREE to those who participate in the ALR Poker Run that morning.

The Ladies of the American Legion Auxiliary Hardin Unit 113, would like to thank all the great people in our community that helped make our poppy distribution a success during our Poppy Days. Thank you to the following merchants that allowed us to distribute our memorial poppy in front of their stores: Price Less, Roses, Rural King, Sam s Club, Elizabethtown Walmart and Radcliff Walmart. To the wonderful people who made donations, please know that all those poppy funds are devoted entirely to rehabilitate and to further assist veterans and their families. Thank you sincerely for caring and giving to the poppy fund. The generous support of individuals like you helps us continue in our mission. Thank you again for your support! A very special thank you to all American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion and SAL volunteers who devoted their time during Poppy Days. The ALA distributes the memorial poppies to remind Americans that millions sacrificed their lives and helped to keep our nation free.
