GENERAL RULES & INFORMATION ENTRY FEES $15 per class. Entries by Friday at midnight to avoid $10 late fee, fax or email acceptable. Entries or changes must be made at least 15 minutes prior to start of class entered. Payment or open check required for issuance of number. Horses brought for schooling only must register and pay grounds fee of $20 COGGINS NEGATIVE COGGINS test must be presented to the show secretary for all horses. Test must be less than 12 months old per Texas law. STALL FEE $15 per day, including shavings or $25 overnight. Shared paddock - $15 per day per horse. CONCESSIONS Served on the premises. Come hungry, it s delicious! HARD HATS & BOOTS ASTM approved helmets and boots must be worn when mounted. Half chaps permitted if same color as paddock boots in W/T, P/B, Beg, and Low Adult. EQUIPMENT Martingales are not allowed in flat classes. Polo wraps and boots are not allowed in hunter classes unless approved by Show Manager (i.e. inclement weather). DOGS All dogs must be on a leash. SCHOOLING Allowed Saturday after 2:00 p.m. and Sun. until 15 min. before start of show. Ring 1 open for brief schooling after jumpers & Ring 2 open for brief schooling before pre-beg. The Show Management reserves the right to change, cancel or combine any classes or do anything deemed necessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries. The management shall decide all questions not covered in the USEF rules and regulations. RECOGNIZED DIVISIONS EQUITATION DIVISIONS ALL EQUITATION CLASSES TO BE JUDGED ON HANDS, LEGS, SEAT, CONTROL OF MOUNT AND TURNOUT. All equitation classes are open to amateurs only with the exception of the Open Equitation Division. Walk-Trot Equitation: No cross entries into any other divisions. Four classes; Walk/Trot Equitation; Equitation over ground poles; Figure Eight; Horsemanship. Horsemanship class may include sitting trot, 2-point, halt and simple questions regarding tack, gaits and parts, colors or markings of the horse. Pre-Beginner Equitation: No cross entries into any other divisions. Fences 18 maximum (small X s) with a simple jump course of twice around. Participants may trot or canter fences with leads between jumps not to be considered. Four classes - Walk/Trot Equitation, Walk/Trot/Canter Equitation and two equitation over fences classes. Beginner Equitation: No cross entries, except for Pony Division. For riders who have not shown over fences exceeding 2 3". Fences 2 (X s or verticals) with a course of twice around to be cantered with leads to count. The last course may have one diagonal line. Four classes - Walk/Trot/Canter Equitation and three equitation over fences classes. Hunt Seat Equitation Pattern: Riders to be judged on equitation while riding a simple pattern (to be posted prior to the class) including walk, trot and canter, with at least 2 of USEF tests 1-18. To be judged on hands, legs, seat and control of mount. Open to all. Hunter Hack: Horses and ponies to be shown at a walk, trot, and canter in both directions. Then to be shown individually over 2 jumps @ 2-3 To be judged on performance, way of going and manners. Flatwork 30%, Jumps 70%
MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES WALK ONLY EQUITATION To be shown at a walk and judged on hands, legs and seat. All entries may be led and may have side walkers. No cross entries except into walk/trot with assistance and pole bending. This is a perfect class for young beginners and riders with special needs. A fun timed event. A separate class with leaders for riders will be added if entries permit.. RIDE A $5! A fun bareback ride! Open to all. Regular entry fee applies, SBEC provides the $5.
