Classes run September through April ending with an end of the year recital. There will be an additional cost for recital costumes, all students will automatically be enrolled in recital. Classes meet once a week at the Wayne Community Center. Registration will be held daily at the Wayne Community Center from 9:00 a.m. -7:30 p.m. *A $10.00 registration fee per child must be included with a signed registration form. A $20.00 late registration fee is charged for those registering Sept 1 st 19th No registrations will be taken after September 19th Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent to register. A valid ID is required at registration to receive resident tuition rates. If a students tuition is not paid by the 5 th, the student will sit their class period(s) until their fees are taken care of. *Tuition does not include costumes, shoes, leotards, tights, etc. These are the responsibilities of the student/parent. Refunds will not be given for withdraws or missed classes. Classes will be automatically canceled if the Wayne- Westland School District is closed due to inclement weather. Behavior Students must arrive 5 minutes before their class time so they will have time to properly put on their shoes & get ready for class. Students should arrive already dressed for class. No food is allowed in the loft area. Absolutely no pop or gum. Students are NOT to enter the loft/dance room until an instructor has given them permission to do so. Student running in the loft/dance room will be asked to return downstairs with their parent. A parent MUST be in the building for students under 8 years of age. Recital Costumes Costumes are the sole choice of the instructor and will be chosen on the basis of most appropriate for the routines, most flattering for the students involved and price. Costume costs and recital fees run between $70.00 & $90.00 per student for each class. Costume fees do not include tights or shoes. A $40.00 costume deposit is due by 7:00 p.m. on October 31 th. The remaining balance is due by 7:00 p.m. on November 22nd. If the costume deposit is not received by the deadline, a costume will not be ordered for the student. **Recital is Mandatory BOTH NIGHTS!* Recital dates are TBD. Costume monies are non refundable!!! Visitors & Parents Parents or guest are not allowed in the loft during class. They may sit at the tables in the back lobby of the Community Center. The first full week of every month (excluding January & April) is designated watch week. The last five minutes of class that week, parents or guests are invited to the loft to watch the students. Please remember the loft is not handicap accessible. *Students under the age of 8 must have an adult in the building during their child s class.* Parents are welcome to use the work out facility during their child s class for $3.00 per class period. Students are not allowed to leave the waiting area lobby without an adult. You must be in the lobby to meet your child, please do not wait in the parking lot!
