Society is not responsible for any injury, damage or loss of property. Regulations 1. THE MURTOA AGRICULTUAL SHOW IS AFFILIATED WITH EA AND all current rules of the EA will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. 2. Tickets available from the Secretary s Office from 8.00am 3. All Entrants must sign Official Waiver. All riders must complete and sign an indemnity form, riders under 18 years of age must complete an indemnity form signed by a parent/guardian prior to competing. Failure to do this will result in disqualification. 4. EA RANDOM SWABBING MAY TAKE PLACE. Medication control of horses may take place in accordance with the Equestrian Australia Anti Doping and controlled medication regulations (1 st ed. Effective 5 th April 2010 and updates) and the EA Medication control system and medication policy (1 st Jan 2015). Random Swabbing and horse registration checks may take place at any time. A $3.00 swabbing fee per horse is to be paid by all entrants. Fees to be held by WASA in a special fund for the continuation of Random Annual Swabbing at all Wimmera Shows. The Council also reserves the right to scan for microchip proof of identity of any exhibit. 5. Any protests to be lodged with the Ringmaster following the event. All protests to be accompanied by a deposit of $100, which will be forfeited if, found to be frivolous. 6. Exhibits must be exhibited as either Open or Showhunters not both. 7. Novice, elementary and intermediate class winners are NOT eligible for Championships. Novice: are those that have not won a 1 st prize at any agricultural show.elementary: are those that have won a Novice but have not won an open class at an agricultural show.intermediate: are those that have not won a first, second or third at any Royal Show.

8. All competitors to carry a current Height Certificate and competitors may be asked to produce. Current height certificates from VAS Ltd, RASV, EA & SHC will be accepted. 9. Lungeing of horses may take place in the Rings prior to 9.00 am when all lunging MUST stop. Lungeing may take place in the designated lunch break. For the safety of all competitors, Lungeing is strictly forbidden outside these times and competitors WILL be asked to leave the arena, if found doing so. 10. An approved AS/NZS safety helmet, securely fastened must be worn at all times when mounted. 11. The judge s decision is final in all events SPONSORS

The competitors shall be judged solely on their riding ability - mount, saddlery or costume will not be taken into account. Special attention will be paid to hands and seat, general management and control of the horse or pony. Competitors must ride using an ordinary snaffle, single jointed in the centre. The mouthpiece must be smooth and made of the same type of metal, with or without a cavesson on the noseband. Please note: straight bar snaffle, drop nosebands, whips and spurs are not allowed. This is a qualification event for the VAS championships 2017.

HERO 2018/19 SERIES QUALIFIER REGULATIONS 1. Open to all purebred freeze branded Standardbreds registered with Harness Racing Australia. Raced or unraced. Registrations will be verified. 2. Registered/Racing name to be used where available. Freeze brand number must be provided. 3. Qualifying Shows must be VAS Ltd affiliated. 4. Horse or Exhibitor do not need to be registered with any other Association or Breed Society other than Harness Racing Australia to be eligible to compete. 5. Qualifying Classes will be judged ridden. 6. Once a Qualifier has been won, the horse is ineligible to compete in another Qualifier. 7. All Qualifying winners gain automatic entry into the HERO Series Final to be held at the VAS Ltd Saddle Horse Championship. 8. Riders to be aged 12 years and over on the day of the Qualifying Show. 9. To be judged as a good example of a Standardbred rather than a riding horse/hunter type with the following being taken into consideration: Standardbred qualities Conformation Manners, paces and performance Racing related injuries and/or blemishes are permitted 9. The Judge s Decision is final in the Qualifiers and Final. 10. Qualifier Prizes
