At 82-47, the Cubs own the best record in all of baseball, 6.0 games better than the next closest club (Texas Rangers, 77-54) the Cubs have won 23 of their last 30 games. The Cubs have gone 30-12 (.714) in their last 42 games starting July 10, also the best record in all of baseball in that span the Cubs have more than doubled their lead in the N.L.
