Our Next Meeting: Tuesday September 18 th Fly Fishing the Wisconsin River with Craig Amacher The lower Wisconsin River is a warm water fly fisherman's paradise with world class fishing for smallmouth bass and anything else that eats a fly. Beautiful scenery and frequent bald eagle sightings are a nice bonus and enhance the experience. Craig will be talking about places on the river and techniques to fly fish for smallmouth and white bass, as well as touching on the bonus species such as walleye, catfish, northern pike, and gar to name a few. He will provide casting, tackle, and watercraft insight for folks who are crossing over from conventional tackle to try fly fishing and those who want to expand their fly fishing horizons beyond trout. Craig manages Fontana Sports Specialties Junction Road location and its Fly Fishing Department. He's been actively fly fishing around the state and world for the past 3 decades. He's involved in the local Trout Unlimited and Federation of Fly Fishers chapters, is an FFF Certified Fly Casting Instructor, and a Wisconsin Licensed Fishing Guide specializing in southern Wisconsin fisheries. He even knows the cousin of a corrupt exiled Caribbean Prime Minister!
