Denton and District Men s Darts & Domino League League Rules - Revised July 2018 General Rules 1. League to be called DENTON AND DISTRICT MEN S DARTS & DOMINO LEAGUE. 2. All teams to consist of 7 darts players and 6 dominoes players (3 teams of 2). 3. Matches to commence at 9.00pm. Your team of 7 darts players to be named in the draw by 9.00pm. Only one named player is allowed to be late. If this player is not present by the end of the 3 rd game, a named reserve can take his place. When a team turns up short of players, for instance only five turn up, you only put five of your (choice) players against theirs. 4. Players/teams are to be no later than 9.15pm. In the event they will be late (not arrive before 9pm) the team/players are to phone the venue. 5. a. Teams will play for 2 points for a match win and a point per leg. (Darts) In the event of a set game, the players will share the point, half to each team. b. Dominoes: 1 point per game and 2 points for winning the match. 6. Cancelled games must be done in writing 7 days before. Any cancelled games from the first half of the season can be played as double headers in the second half. In a double-header case, the team that cancelled forfeits their home advantage. If a team cancels without the required notice, they will be fined 20 and forfeit the points. (Fine to be paid at next league meeting). If the fine is not paid, the team will be expelled and all points will be expunged. 7. In the event that a player has been barred from a venue within the league, they are unable to play at the venue. A player may approach and request a pass for the night, but the premises/landlord has the final say. The league has no power/right to overrule any premises or landlord regarding admittance to the venue. 8. All league matches to be played on Tuesday Nights. Cup competitions to be decided by the league committee. The night may be altered to any other night in the same week, if agreed by both teams. 9. Entrance fee decided at AGM. This will be refunded if entry is refused or forfeited if commitments not kept. 10. Registration fee to be decided at AGM.

11. The sums of money become due and payable by all clubs and their members in respect of each seasons activities. 12. No player to play for any other team in the league other than the one registered with. No transfers allowed (AGM July 2006 if a team wants to sign on a player that has played two or three games for another team, bring it up at the next monthly meeting for discussion). Players can only qualify to play in knockout competitions (Individuals, Pairs, Dominoes & Cups games) if they are signed on for a team and have played at least three league games (Darts or Dominoes). If a team plays an unsigned player, they will be penalised 2 points from Darts or Dominoes or both depending where the unsigned player has played. The unsigned player will also have any win reversed. There will also be a 10 fine incurred. 13. Players may change their partner in only the first round of the Pairs Knockout tournaments. (Darts and Dominoes) Once a pair has played together, they are locked in as that teaming for the entire tournament. 14. Teams are allowed to register a player at any time during the season, until the May league meeting. Extra player signing on forms will be provided. 15. Team secretary\captain to notify a committee member of all complaints in writing within 48 hours. At least three committee members will deal with complaints. 16. Results and reports should be sent, delivered or posted, to arrive no later than the Sunday after the match. Any teams failing to meet this deadline to be fined 2.50. 17. In the event of a team dropping out of the league before completing the first half of the season, all points (for and against) to be void. A team dropping out during the second half, first half will count and second half will be void. All teams are expected to stay loyal to the pub/club they have signed on for. If a situation arises whereas a team feels it needs to move mid-season, the league would like the situation put in writing and addressed as part of the agenda at the next monthly meeting. 18. A representative from all teams MUST attend the monthly league meetings. (AGM July 2012 NO APOLOGIES). Any teams that miss a meeting will be fined 10 for the first, 15 for the second missed meeting. Any subsequent non-attendance will incur a 15 fine and the team will lose two points from both the Darts & Dominoes. 19. League cups and shields cannot be won outright and remain property of the league. 20. League committee s decision is final in all cases. 21. All teams and members agree to adhere to the League s Social Media Policy (AGM 2016)

Darts Rules 1. Teams to consist of 7 players. 2. Home team to throw 1 st. order of play to be selected by home captain. First 4 darts games to be named at start of match. 3. One point per leg + 2 for winning the match. 4. All games to be played on Manchester Board. Log End Slip up. 5. Games to finish on a double (first qualifying double up to 10) and one bull. If no double is scored then both players will throw for double twenty. 6. Player may use any arrows they wish. 7. Pitches to be ground length of 7ft 6in from front of board to back of bate. Height of board to be 5ft 3in from floor to centre of Bull. (Diagonally 9ft 1in approx. from Bull to Bate.) Players must be able to move 2ft from centre of fender, left or right. 8. Cup Matches to be played as drawn with home teams throwing first on games 1,3,5 & 7. Finals to be on neutral ground where a coin toss shall decide the arrows. (1,3,5,7 and 2,4,6). In the event of a set match, the two setters will play off with nearest to bull choosing the darts. 9. Match board to be in a condition satisfactory to both captains. Commencement of game will imply satisfaction, and no complaint may be made at any subsequent stage of the match. The 50 bull must be removed. 10. Toe mark to be distinctly apparent and non-dangerous in design. 11. If an arrow lodges in a wire and captains fail to agree, the dart in question to be thrown again. 12. If a player receives a walk over it will be given as a win to contribute to the teams score (team also receives the leg point). Note: the walk over will not count to the players most wins trophy. If a player receives a walkover due to an opponent refusing to play, it should be marked as NS and the win will count to most wins. 13. In the event a player plays at the wrong time, the game in question is to be replayed with the correct players. 14. Most wins trophy is decided by a league style format. Players receive 2 points to their tally for a win and 1 point for a set game.

Domino Rules 1. Six Players to a team. (3 pairs) 2. Games to be 61 up, dead hole 5 s & 3 s. Games can t be won on drop 3. One point per game + 2 for winning the match. 4. After the pick, players wait for their first turn before looking at their dominoes. 5. Playing a wrong domino or any other discrepancy of play gives 4 holes to opponents and loss of next drop. Team awarded 4 holes may add to their score or deduct from opponents as they wish. 6. One point may be scored during a game for chipping out. (i.e. the playing of a team s last bone or for possessing lowest bone, if game is stitched). However, note the following situations for chipping out in dead hole. (A) Signifying a team of two. a. (A) Need one point and game is stitched. (A) Win if possession of lowest bone by chipping out. b. (A) Need one point and without scoring play last bone. (A) Win by chipping out. c. (A) Need one point and score off last bone. With one for chipping out, this counts as two scored and (A) remain needing one with game going to next drop. Similarly if (A) needs 2, 3, 4 etc. and scores exact number with last bone by chipping out they have scored too many and stay as they were. d. (A) Needs two points and with last bone score one with one for last bone. (A) Chips out and wins. Similarly if (A) needs 3, 4 etc. and scores one less than this with the last bone then one for chipping see (A) through to win. 7. If a walkover occurs, the team will still receive the point for the leg.

Social Media Policy. - No Player/Member of the league or non-member will create a site or account for or on behalf of the league without consulting the league at a meeting - This includes any site however loosely named that refers to the league - A committee member of the league MUST be given administrative access to any such site/account. - Members of the league MUST not be blocked from accessing any such content without good reason and approval from the committee at a League meeting - No player / team is to use any kind of web entity/social media to publish any agenda biased or unbiased - Social Media / internet must not be used to publicise complaints/grievances. The league procedure for complaints MUST be adhered to - Any use of social media / website must conform to the site s own legal policy - The use of social media / internet is for information and communication purposes only - No player/team is to post or place anything in the public domain that is in any way untrue/false - Offensive language/comments must not be published on any site affiliated with the league however loosely connected. - Any player / team in breach of the league s Social Media Policy will face sanctions by the League - Any site / account that breaches the league Social Media Policy must be taken down or control transferred to The League/Committee - Any site in existence must clearly state whether it is official or not. Remarking that any unofficial site does not speak for or on behalf of the league.
