GREATER TRENTON DART LEAGUE 2012-2013 GTDL/SPONSOR AGREEMENT

1. This document, including signature page 2. Captain Registration 3. Team Rosters 4. Projected Schedule Sponsor Agreement Package Contents Separately, the following documents are important to you as a sponsor. 5. GTDL Rules 6. 2012-2013 Season Addendum

Please review the entire packet before agreeing to the rules and agenda that have been established for the upcoming season. Bar owners are only responsible for signing the bar sponsor form and captains are required to fill out all other documents within the packet. Sponsors and captains are expected to know and understand the rules of the GTDL. If a bar is sponsoring multiple teams, one bar agreement form is sufficient, identifying the number of teams being sponsored. For each team, and individual captain s registration and team roster is required. Sponsor/captain agreement forms and initial rosters must be completed and returned to GTDL by August 30, 2012. The bar sponsor fee of $125 and player fee of $25 must be received by September 6, 2012 (player registration Luck of the Draw). All checks should be made payable to "GTDL" or Greater Trenton Dart League. A captains meeting will be held on August 30, 2012 to discuss the responsibilities of captains and clarification of rules for the upcoming season. This meeting is mandatory; if a captain cannot be present then a team member may be designated to attend in their place. During the following week prior to the start of the season a member of the GTDL board will visit all bars for a site inspection to ensure playing areas are in compliance with league rules; any bars not in compliance will be notified and must satisfy recommendations as noted prior to the start of the season. Thanks, Bill Cobb GTDL President

The Greater Trenton Dart League is a sports league. o It is designed to give dart players in the area an opportunity to play darts in an organized league. o It gives the sponsors consistent rules of play, an organized structure to participate in and does the management of the league. The sponsors are where the teams and players play. They provide the locations to the league and a home base for the players on their teams. The players are those people who participate in the GTDL. They provide the audience for the league to function as well as the patrons for the bar during league play. As you can see, the league is a triangle requiring all three parts to be part of the overall success. Without the league there is no structure, without the sponsors there is nowhere to play, and without the players, well, there s no need for sponsors or the league. Throughout the year, the sponsors will be engaged via email on various league activities. We hope that as sponsors you can participate in those activities as well as provide feedback to the league as it pertains to your involvement in the league.

As part of being a paid sponsor in the GTDL, you will receive from the league: 1. The structure, rules and information necessary to participate in the GTDL, 2. One dartboard per team for use during GTDL league matches, a. The game board should not be left up outside of league play and must be in good condition all season. This dartboard is yours to keep after the season. 3. Access to the GTDL website and facebook page for information, standings and special events, 4. Links on the sponsor page to your website, facebook or other internet presence, 5. The opportunity to use those avenues for your special events. a. This is not designed to share your daily lunch specials or weekly happy hour. It is designed to publicize when you have a non-regular function where the league can help spread the word. i.e. Benefits or charity events, a special season kickoff or something unique at your establishment. 6. Access to the board members of the GTDL for questions, guidance or information on the general world of darts, 7. A home match for each of your teams equaling one half of the total number of weeks during the season, plus/minus one week. There is no guarantee which weeks or matches against other teams will be home matches or away matches. The league attempts to keep the amount and length of home/away streaks to a minimum. Your responsibilities as a sponsor in the GTDL: 1. Pay any league fees and provide paperwork in a timely fashion, 2. Provide a safe environment for the players in the league, 3. Abide by the rules of the GTDL, 4. Provide an approved playing location, confirmed by the GTDL board that meets the requirements of the league, including: a. Board location, height, lighting b. A suitable practice board c. An approved league board for match play 5. Provide a location near the dartboard or another announcement board where standings, news or other darts related information could be posted, 6. Inform the league board for any issues related to the league, teams or players in the GTDL, 7. Inform the league of any conflicts with events at your location that might impact the league/teams ability to play on a given night. The league can try to rearrange the schedule, but there is no guarantee that we will be able to find a suitable home game replacement.

Greater Trenton Dart League PO Box 2817 Trenton, NJ 08690 Board Members President Bill Cobb Vice- President Bob Kuppler Secretary John Tedder Treasurer Ron Rowley First Officer Tony Kenny Special Events Coordinator Gary Yourman 2012-2013 GTDL AGENDA League Communication will continue to be a very important focus point for our league this season. All Bar Owners and Players MUST submit some form of contact such as email, phone # and/or mailing address in order to participate this season. Captain s Meeting will be held at the Cook AA on Thursday 8/30 beginning at 8pm. Additional copies of this form will be handed out at this meeting and must be completed by 9/6. The Annual Player Registration Luck of the Draw will be held at Tir na nog on 9/6/12. Since Tir na nog won the Championship last season they have the option to host this event and will be sponsoring $100 towards the prize fund. *ALL registered Player Fees are due at this time. The 2012-2013 Season will begin on 9/13/12. The Annual Memorial Tournament is under review at this time. The Players Cup is normally awarded to the winner of this event which involves a handicap point system and gives all teams/bars an opportunity to host an additional night of darts if they choose to participate. This event occurs over a span of four weeks either during mid-season or at the end of the regular season depending on the regular season schedule. *This event may be revised. The 8 th Annual Darts for Dreams Dart-a-thon to benefit The Make-A-Wish foundation of NJ will be held during the spring of 2013. All sponsors are encouraged to participate in this event as GTDL attempts to reach the $125,000 mark in total donations!!! The GTDL Championship match will once again be held at a neutral location. Last season it was held at Hamilton Lanes and attracted up to 40-50 people to come out and see our best players going head to head. The GTDL will once again try to host this event at a neutral location within the league deemed suitable to host up to 50 or more people. The idea of showcasing the League Championship is to enable the GTDL to grow as well as to promote the sport of darts in the Greater Trenton area. The End of the Season Picnic will take place in June once again. This past season we had 65 people attend and hopefully we ll see Greater more in 2013! 2012-2013 General Information and Projected Schedule Welcome to the 2012-2013 GTDL Season. Below you ll find the basic information you ll need to participate and be an informed and active member of the league. Our online presence: www.trentondarts.com www.facebook.com/greatertrentondartleague PhillyDarts.com Several members participate. Watch the message boards for regional luck of the draws and even qualifiers for larger tournaments. Your information: One of the goals of the board of the GTDL is to get current, valid contact information for all players. We are currently about 75%. The purpose is so that we can alert all the players to updating events, news or a change of some kind. We realize that not everyone visits the website regularly, so this is another way to remind you to check. Players whose email addresses the league has are aware that all emails are blind copies, so others don t see your email address. We don t sell or give away your email addresses. All emails to the league players currently come from either John Tedder, Bill Cobb or Gary Yourman We are expecting that the new league website s mail function will help us better communicate to our members. Please help us help you! There is nothing worse than finding out after an event that people didn t know about it. At the beginning of the season luck of the draw, and throughout the first few weeks, the board members and captains will be asked to help collect this information. Please be supportive and help them out. If you don t have contact with anyone in this group, please fill out the roster forms so we can collect the information that way.
