Planned Itinerary Day 1 Arrival And Sea Kayaking Day 2 Sea Kayaking Loch Shieldaig Day 3 Sea Kayaking Loch Kishorn Day 4 Rest Day: Guided Hike or Own Activity Day 5 Sea Kayaking in Applecross Day 6 A Final Hike and Then Home Arrival Info Your Guide will meet you at the centre of Inverness Railway Station by the fixed seating area 10.30am on Day 1 of your trip Departure Info You will be returned to Inverness Railway Station 4:00pm on the final day of your trip PLEASE NOTE The itinerary may be subject to change at the discretion of the Wilderness Scotland Guide with regard to weather conditions and other factors.

Day 1 Arrival and Sea Kayaking Meeting in Inverness, we transfer north-west to Torridon, where we stop for a welcome briefing and lunch at a local cafe. Afterwards, we take to the water this afternoon for an introductory skills session and a short tour to get us ready for the coming days. Late afternoon, we check into the Inn, where there will be time to settle in before dinner. (L, D) Day 2 Sea Kayaking Loch Shieldaig Today we will build on the basic skills we covered yesterday, ensuring that you have the essential tools for the journeys we ll be taking in the coming days. With a guide to client ratio of 1:4, there is plenty of time for individual coaching from the guides, regardless of your skill level. When everyone is comfortable in the water, we ll enjoy a gentle journey around beautiful Loch Shieldaig, looking out for wildlife as we paddle. (B, L) Day 3 Sea Kayaking Loch Kishorn A short transfer south takes us to another beautiful inlet, Loch Kishorn. With new skills fresh in your mind, we ll undertake a classic sea kayak journey. We ll venture along the coast, passing remote bays and perhaps venturing out to wild uninhabited islands. Keep your eyes peeled for rare wildlife such as sea eagles, otters and, if we are lucky, dolphins or porpoises. Back at the Inn, we reflect on our progress and look forward to the coming adventures. (B, L)

Day 4 Rest Day: Guided Hike or Own Activity Today we take a break from the kayaks, giving our bodies a rest and allowing us to explore a bit more of the north-west highlands. We transfer north to the village of Gairloch. Here, you can choose to join our guide on an easy hike; or simply enjoy some free time to explore the village, which is known for its wonderful beaches. A popular option is to take a boat trip in search of dolphins or whales (pay locally). Alternatively, you can choose to relax back at the hotel, enjoying the wonderful scenery. (B) Day 5 Sea Kayaking in Applecross Refreshed from a day off the water, we get back into our kayaks today to explore the idyllic coastline of the Applecross peninsula. There are many wonderful coastal features to discover here, making this a day to remember. Back on land, a drink at the waterside Applecross Inn is the only possible way to end our time on the peninsula. Back at the Inn, we freshen up before enjoying a celebratory final night meal. (B, L, D) Day 6 A Final Hike and Then Home On our final morning, we enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the Inn. We enjoy a short hike with the guide above beautiful Loch Maree, which provides incredible views for not too much effort! It s a wonderful place to reflect on the trip before we transfer back to Inverness, arriving late afternoon. (B, L)

Trip Grading Green 2 Green graded sea kayaking trips are suitable for those with little or no previous sea kayaking experience. There is an emphasis on instruction and developing your skills while enjoying the surroundings of some superb locations. You will be able to progress your skills and experience throughout the trip. You should have a reasonable level of fitness and you can expect up to 6 hours of sea kayaking each day, with breaks onshore to stretch your legs. You will also be asked to assist with carrying the boats to and from the water, working as a team. In the event of bad weather preventing us from kayaking your guide will offer an alternative activity such as an easy hike. The weather in Scotland can be unpredictable and at times can make activities more challenging. Please do bear this in mind when thinking about what trip to join. If our guides feel that you are not able to complete an activity like a scheduled paddle or hike they may ask you not to join in that day. If you have any questions about the grading, then please do give our Adventure Consultants a call to chat through your experience and suitability for this trip. It is your responsibility to ensure you are appropriately fit and capable of doing the described activities in the expected times. Please refer to the grading section on our website for more details. If you are unsure we encourage you to speak to us first.

Accommodation and Meals You will be based in a comfortable Highland Inn on the shores of Loch Torridon. The Inn offers modern accommodation in a stunning location. A great place to stay, eat and drink. Breakfasts and most lunches are included, while dinner is included on the first and final nights. Naturally, vegetarians and other dietary requirements can be catered for, simply let us know in advance. For evening meals not included, we can dine at the Inn or visit other local restaurants, which offer good food at reasonable prices. The final dinner of the trip will be taken in the excellent restaurant of the Torridon Hotel. On this trip we generally eat dinner as a group however if you would like to make alternative arrangements you are free to do so. Your guide will have an evening off during this trip where they do not eat with the group. They will recommend options for dinner that evening and will help you make any necessary reservations. Single Rooms There is no supplement charged to solo travellers, however you will be required to share a room with another person of the same sex. If you request a double room for single occupancy, a supplement of 365 is charged. Due to the nature of the accommodations we use, single supplements are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
