Welcome! Thank you for picking up our 2019 Spring/Summer Activity Guide. After wrapping up the Riverbank Cheese & Wine Festival, Haunted Hayride, and Christmas Parade and Craft Fair this Fall, we are excited to jump into our Spring/Summer season! Coming up in Riverbank, we are thrilled to kick off our Aquatics programs including Swim Lessons, Aquatics Camp, and our Barracudas Swim Team. Also coming up, look forward to our Summer Camps, Teen Center Trips, and brand new special events. If you or your group are looking for a place to host your next event, our Community Center, Scout Hall, and various outdoor park gazeebos are available for rent. Our Riverbank Community Center is undergoing a remodel! Our tentative date to reopen after construction is April 15, 2019. Call us for updates and availability to host your next event. Those already on the team do not need to try out again. Swim Lessons are offered in 2 week sessions for 40 minutes each Monday-Thursday. Instructors will test the first day of class to confirm each child s level. Please Note: Registration is required and early registration is highly recommended as classes fill up quickly. There will be a $5 fee for cancellation or transfer once registered. You may receive a refund if you cancel at least 3 days prior to the start of the class. No refunds after the first day of class. This introductory course will help you child feel more comfortable in the water and introduce them to basic water safety. Parents remain out of the water. Class size per instructor: 4 students Beginner Beginner classes are designed to progress from the basics to the advanced levels. A student placed in Level 2 must perform the skills for Level 1. Class size per instructor: 6 students Advanced Beginner These courses are for advanced swimmers to build confidence and stroke refinement. Swimming distances is required for building endurance. Class size per instructor: 8 students. Intermediate - Lifeguard Readiness This class will help prepare swimmers for the lifeguard class. Students must pass Advanced/ Beginner class to register. Sensory Sharks and Mermaids (Geared toward children on the autism spectrum). Please see Therapeutic Recreation section for more information. Private Lessons Private Lessons can be scheduled based on instructor availability.
