Page 3 WOTM Chapter 1650 Message from our Senior Regent October was a great month, had the Supreme Governor Fritz and His Lovely Wife Beth visit us. It was a Grand Night with all the First Responder's and the city Officials from Grand Prairie and Arlington. Also, one of the first responders told us that he lived just 5 miles for Mooseheart, and that he never knew that until now. A Big Thank you to all that worked so hard to make that night an enjoyable one. Also, thank you to all, for an awesome "Trick and Treat" night for the Children and the Adults. It was great seeing our children have fun. November is a time to be Thankful... We have a busy month coming up. On Saturday November 5 th, we have Our Membership/Retention Phone a thon. I would Love to see volunteers come out and help, mingle and have a fun time with all. On November 5, at 10am, the Women of the Moose will be baking at the Lodge for a Christmas Bake Sale. We need Bakers and Laughter, come out and lets bake and make new ideas happen. On November 11, we will be saluting our Veteran's. When you see a Veteran, walk up and let them know how important they are as both Member and a Veteran. Also, that night the Women of the Moose are hosting a Chili dinner and Murder Mystery game. Come out and have some fun. On November 19th, The Women of the Moose are having Our Collage of Regents Ceremony, We will be honoring 2 Collegians, Charlie Pyron and Lauren Stubbs, as they get to change their Tassels. Come out and congratulate them. As you all know we are coming up on our Holiday season, and we need everyone's help at this time of the year. We need donations for our Thanksgiving Dinner, November 24, along with help in preparing this feast. Left Overs from our Feast will be dinner on Friday. Yummy! On November 26, at 10am we will be decorating for Christmas, please come out and get in the Spirit of the Holidays.LET'S DECK THE HALL and SOCIAL QUARTERS together, see all there. Don't forget that we are having an Angel Tree in the Social Quarters, pick a name of a child and hold that feeling of giving in your heart, as you buy for that child. More info to come. Don't forget we have Dinners every Friday night, come out and have a good dinner and enjoy! Check the calendar in the newsletter for the menus. I look forward to seeing everyone at these Great events. We are so thankful for all of you that come out and lend a hand in all we do. Page 4 WOTM Chapter 1650 From the Recorder s Desk Hope everyone had a FUN Halloween and enjoyed the activities at the Lodge. We have some changes and special dates for the Women of the Moose in November, so please mark these special events: Wednesday, November 2nd - there not be a WOTM meeting. Wednesday, November 9th will be the WOTM Board of Officers Meeting @ 7 pm Wednesday, November 16th will be a General Membership Meeting @ 7 pm Friday, November 19th will be the College of Regents Dinner and open Meeting, we will be honoring Charlie Pryon and Lauren Stubbs who will be receiving their Tassel change. This is a very special event and we would like for everyone to attend to support these co-workers. Our Deputy Grand Regent Melody Kraft has been invited as our special speaker. Right after Thanksgiving, we will have the Angel Tree set up, so please pick an angel to help have a very Merry Christmas. Also we want to remember our Sunshine children and our Sunshine Grandparent. We have a new child from Mooseheart and we want to make her first Christmas at Mooseheart very special. Her name is MiMi and she is 10 years old.
