DEPARTMENT 1 HORSES General Information: 1. Horse stall assignment will be handled through the Horse Department Chair. Stalls will be available to current 4-H members and volunteers, as well as to Open Horse Show participants. 2. All General Rules and Health Regulations listed in this Clinton County Fair Circular apply to all exhibitors stalling horses during Fair Week. 3. There is no guarantee that free sawdust for bedding will be available. Please be prepared to provide your own bedding if needed. 4. Horse Stall Registration forms are available from the Horse Department Chair. 5. Exhibitors stabling horses at the Fair are encouraged to keep their horses on the premises from Saturday, July 28 th, 8 a.m. through Saturday, August 4 th at 9 p.m. However, the fair understands that horse exhibitors often have conflicting show commitments. For this reason, horses will be permitted to come and go with prior approval from the Horse Department Chair. 6. This Circular lists horse related activities and events. HORSES SECTION 1 Open Pleasure Horse Show Sunday, July 29, 2018 - starting at 9 a.m. - rain or shine Chair: Laurie Hendricks, 570-660-0113 Entry Fees: Pre-registration prior to July 23, 2018: $6.00 per class. $25.00 per rider/all day. Day of Show Registration: $8.00 per class Lead line, Walk-Halt and PEE WEE classes - $2.00 per class at anytime. Make checks payable to Clinton County Fair Association. RULES: 1. Each Exhibitor will need a Fair Exhibitor Registration Number. The same number is used for all events during the Fair. 2. Send Pre-registration with payment, postmarked prior to July 23, 2018, to: Laurie Hendricks, 3290 Nichols Run Road, Jersey Shore, PA 17740. 3. Registered entrants must check-in at the Announcer s Building prior to the starting of the show to pick-up back numbers, confirm classes and present required health papers. (See HEALTH REGULATIONS) 4. PEE WEE riders may show only in Classes 5, 11, 16 & 17, trot only, penalty for canter. 5. The Show Committee and Judge will have the final decision and reserves the right to combine, divide and cancel classes. 6. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and the Show Committee reserves the right to withhold premiums. 7. Protective headgear is required for all exhibitors 18 years of age and younger. 8. No limit to number of entries. 2. Each exhibitor has access to ½ table space. Additional table for rent for $10. An exhibitor may not rent more than 1 extra table, as space is limited. 3. Competitions open to all Clinton County youth up to age 18 (including enrolled 4-H members who are 19). Also included are other youth who have horses stabled at the Fairgrounds. (Junior Riders Up to Age 13) (Senior Riders ages 14-18) 2. Registration is not required. Each exhibitor will need a Fair Exhibitor number. The same number is used for all events during the Fair. If member does not have their Fair Exhibitor number, report to the announcer s booth prior to the start of the show. 3. Premiums will be mailed if not available during Fair week. 4. Approved protective headgear and heeled boots required. 5. Horse trailer parking in designated areas only. 6. Member may use any horse that meets Fair Health requirements.
