Mack Martin presented the check for $5,300 to Sheila Humphrey and John Erbele while our trout camp visited Smithgall for their entomology class. TROUT CAMP Trout Camp 2013 was held at the Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in Dillard, GA from Sun June 9 - Fri June 14. Gold Rush supported 2 campers, Gabriel Mott and Brandon Dover. We also sent 2 mentors to stay all week at the dorm, Deb Scott and Fred Ruppel. The camp was another outstanding experience and success. Our campers did very well and were very interested in all activities - casting, fly tying, and conservation. The campers hit the road for some outstanding visits to places such as Smithgall Woods for a Entomology class, Burton Hatchery, Tallulah River to stock and fish, Holcomb Creek to do stream structures and shocking, Nacoochee Bend to fish, Indian Lake to fish and swim, and Betty Creek to fish. What a great schedule, very busy, but I believe all campers appreciated the exceptional experience. Thanks to all TU members for making this opportunity possible. http://michelecrawfordphotograph.smugmug.com/other-1/trout-camp- 2013/29975561_4XbWMw http://michelecrawfordphotograph.smugmug.com/other/trout-camp-2013- Graduation/29989310_TW9r3X Above are links to many pictures that were taken at trout camp 2013

The workday is led by Cohutta TU but is open to any TU member. We recommend old clothes, work gloves and a good pair of boots as you will most likely be wading some. Follow Poplar Stump Rd. along the Chattahoochee River as it turns to gravel and enters the Chattahoochee WMA. 5. Park at the FS 178 Bridge.
