AUGUST 2013 VOLUME 22, NUMBER 8 By Todd Moen Ireceived several compliments on the July issue, featuring many photos. This inspired me to have the August Sail & Scale issue to have the photos once again be the primary focus (no pun, intended.. well, maybe)... Many of these photos were taken using the great camera mount that Bill Uhl has provided on his tugboats to get a boats view of the pond. COMMODORE S CORNER Thank You to David S. Holman s law office for free newsletter printing. David specializes in Estate planning, Business, Real Estate & Creditor Representation, located in Burnsville, Minnesota. By Wayne Snyder Our next event is the Lighthouse night August 11, its the second Sunday of the month. Then in September we will have the Fall River Cruise on the 26th, this is a Thursday night. Details later, we had to save the date. The third order of business is for a new Commodore for next year, please consider this, its not a lot of work and the members are very helpful to this person. I have experienced a lot of advice and help these last two years. The weather played a big factor with the outing at Rick's Hobby Farm. A total of 7 showed up, we had a picnic and talk time, no boats went in the water as the wind was against us that day, but the trip was worth the effort. Maybe we can talk Fred into running a three pond race yet this year after the paddle boats leave, we will see. The last two events of the year are the swap meet and the drydock party. Wayne Snyder - Commodore EMYC Special Thanks...To members that contributed their time & talents to this issue: John Bertelsen, Dale Johnson & Wayne Snyder. 2 SAIL & SCALE AUGUST 2013
