Definition: "Handicap" refers to a numerical representation of a golfer's playing ability. The lower a golfer's handicap, the better the golfer is. A 2 handicapper is better than a 10 handicapper who is better than a 20 handicapper. Handicaps are meant to represent a golfer's potential rather than simply be an average of a golfer's scores. Most courses accept tee times, and many require them, although there are some that do not take them. Tee times can usually be made at least several days in advance, but it's always a good idea to call and ask for the tee time policy well in advance when playing a new course. What is Insurance? Definition: Insurance at a club will vary from country to country. Insurance will usually cover items such as, if a golfer tees off and the ball injures another golfer, or through dangerous play, the golfer swings and hits another golfer.
