SHOOT-OFFS Ties in Events 1, 3, 5 and 7 will be carried over to the next similar event. Ties in all other events will be shot off. Shooters involved in ties have the responsibility to check with Shoot Management, before leaving the grounds, to find out how their particular tie will be settled. Shooters not answering a shoot-off call will forfeit their rights to trophies and added money. Shoot-offs will be for trophies, class, categories or place and will be at the discretion of SHOOT MANAGEMENT. Added money follows trophy. TROPHIES Only one trophy will be awarded to any one shooter in the same event. If shooter ties for Champion, and loses the shoot off or carryover, then the shooter must take category over class/yardage. Shooters must declare category when classifying. JOHN D. HITER MEMORIAL HANDICAP Event 6 $500 SPECIAL PURSE High Gun - 4th Place ($200, $150, $100 & $50) All shooters participating in the John D. Hiter Memorial Handicap are eligible to compete for the special $500 purse. No additional fee is required. Upon completion of the John D. Hiter Memorial Handicap event, two numbers between 0 and 9 will be drawn. Any shooter s score that ends in either of these two numbers will have the opportunity to shoot off for the special purse at the handicap yardage shot during the event. The shoot-off will consist of ten-target sub-events until the winners have been determined. Shooters must furnish their own shells. 2019 GEORGIA STATE SHOOT TARGET REQUIREMENTS 800 registered 16-yard targets combined for the current and previous year or shoot Class B or higher. 800 registered handicap targets combined for the current and previous year or shoot 3 yards farther back than the yardage shown on their ATA Average Card; however, no shooter will be penalized beyond the 25-yard line except at the discretion of the Classification Committee. 500 registered doubles targets combined for the current and previous year or shoot Class B or higher. All preliminary targets shot on Thursday, May 2nd may be used to fulfill target requirements to avoid shooting penalty (class or yardage) in subsequent events. It is the shooter s responsibility to make sure you meet the target minimums to avoid shooting penalty. If targets shot on Thursday are shot as penalty, but gives you the minimum necessary to avoid shooting penalty for the remainder of the tournament, you MUST reclassify on Friday morning. After you reclassify, make sure the CASHIER knows this and updates your tournament record. Lady I, Lady II, Veteran and Senior Veteran shooters with less than 800 handicap targets in the current and previous year shall be assigned their current yardage or 20 yards, whichever is greater. Sub-Junior classification will be exempt from all minimum target requirements. COACHING ATA Rules specify that the only people allowed on the field during a registered shoot are the shoot help, referee/scorers and the shooters themselves. All others must remain well behind the line and not interfere with or attempt to influence the scorer. No coaching or encouragement of shooters on the line is allowed by anyone not properly on the field. No coaching by other squad members. Strictly enforced. This certifies that South River Gun Club has been authorized to hold a registered trap shoot from May 2-5, 2019. ATA official rules will govern the conduct of this tournament. ATA Executive Director www.gatrap.com Page 68 www.gatrap.com Page 79

MANAGEMENT Daily Fees: $6 (ATA $3 & GATA $3) Shooting will start on time each day. Shooters missing their first 25 targets with their squad may make those up on the practice trap. Shooters missing their first 50 targets with their squad may re-squad for a $20 re-entry fee. NO ENTRIES REFUNDED UNLESS EVENT OR SHOOT IS CANCELLED. Shooters should check their scores after each station sub-event and scores posted to the scoreboard. Scoreboard errors should be reported promptly to the Cashier. Pay-off sheets will be posted for all events except the last day. Management will not be responsible for errors in scores after options have been posted on the scoreboard. Any shooter entitled to receive money won during this shoot agrees that if such money is not received during this tournament, a check may be mailed to the address on the ATA card used for entry. When so mailed, the GATA or Cashier will not be liable for any reason for undelivered checks. Due to the increased cost of production and postage, the GATA will be mailing only one program to each address within our mail database. There will be additional copies available at the classification desk during our State shoot. An abbreviated program can be printed from www. gatrap.com. Shoot management reserves the right to reject any entrant and to modify the program at any time during the shoot. In the event of a dispute, members of the GATA Executive Committee will render a binding decision. Closing of events will be solely at the discretion of shoot management. Entries will automatically close for every event except for the singles championship event on Saturday when the last squad for that event takes the firing line. Saturday s event will be limited to 57 squads or equivalent. Ten program traps and one practice trap when available, all with Canterbury Voice Release Systems, will be used for the entire program. Field 11 may be a program trap for Saturday s singles only, otherwise it will be used as a practice trap - at management discression. Orange Dome White Flyer targets will be thrown. Classification, squadding and practice will be available Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. Special Thanks To South River Gun Club for sponsorship of Saturday s BBQ Dinner Jim Meucci for providing the Event 12 trophies for Junior Gold, Lady II and Sub-Vet. (Georgia residents only) Chuck Daniel for providing the Champion s belt buckles for the Championship events. (Georgia residents only) No class advancement for Thursday s events. Subsequent wins and ties will move up in class. Shooters earning yardage must have their card punched before shooting in the next handicap event. It is the shooter s responsibility to insure all shoot fees, options and ATA membership dues are paid before shooting in any sub-event. Failure to do so will result in disqualification for the entire event. Shamrock Leathers for providing the ATA HOF Contributor Handicap Award. (Georgia residents only) Mike and Betsy Reed for providing Flash Targets for the John D. Hiter Memorial Handicap Special Event www.gatrap.com Page 810 www.gatrap.com Page 911
