BLIND FOOTBALL EXHIBITION GAME AT MUMBAI at 6 th and 7 th January 2018. Indian blind football federation organized two games at Mumbai in two different venues.the first demo game played on 6th at 11 am at the K J Somaiya College of Engineering and the second one was on 7th at 4 30 pm at Andheri East. A packed house of nearly 1500 + witnessed our Blind Football Exhibition game featuring few of the India Internationals & IBFF academy members
THE SECOND EDITION OF THE NORTH EAST BLIND FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 27 th To 30 th January 2018 The Second Edition of the North East Blind Football Tournament organised by the Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF) was held at Montfort Centre of Education Tura, Meghalaya for the first time from 27th to 30th Jan 2018. The event saw 75 participants and teams from across the region including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Meghalaya and invited teams from Kolkata, Delhi and the IBFF academy Kochi participate at the annual event. The newly formed combined team of North East Sowers Blind Football Club a mixed team of players from across the region emerging as winners beating Delhi in the finals held on 30th Jan'18
NATIONAL TEAM SELECTION CAMP AND FITNESS TRAINING CAMP AT KOCHI At 23 rd To 25 th February 2018 Indian blind football federation organised a national blind football team selection camp for Japan grand prix.. Sunil j Mathew and Naresh Singh Nayal lead the sessions. Indian Blind Football Federation invited the AIFF Indian National Football Team Fitness and performance coach Danny Deigan from Australia, taken fitness and training sessions for the blind footballers. Sunil j Mathew, sporting director of IBFF, announced the name of selected players for Japan grand prix after the three days selection camp.
BLIND FOOTBALL DEMO GAME AND BLIND FOLDED WALK AT DETHALON At 11 th March 2018 IBFF organized a blind football demo game, blind folded walk and blind folded penalty shootout with support of decathlon sports store.
NATIONAL CAMP FOR JAPAN TOUR 10 th To 17 th March 18 IBFF conducted a national team camp for international tournament held at japan. India played in development group category. The selected players from the three days selection camp held at last month was attended in this camp. International referee Mr. WK.Loo lead the sessions. Indian blind football coach Sunil j Mathew and goal guide Naresh singh nayal also joined in the camp.
WORLD GRAND PRIX BLIND FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT AT TOKYO, JAPAN ( 21 ST -25 TH MARCH'18). The Indian blind football team played at the inaugural World Grand Prix Blind Football Tournament under the Development Games Category which included the Japan National Training Centre team & Belgium. The young Indian side had an outstanding tour with the Indian team beating Japan NTC 1-0 in the first match with a goal from Klingson Marak, presently at the IBFF Academy on 21st March. The second game on 22nd March saw the Indian side play hard but lost 0-2 to the 20th ranked Belgium blind team. In the back to back return fixtures on 25th March the Indian team lost narrowly to Belgium 1-2 which saw a goal by Pankaj Rana from the IBFF academy.
THIRD NATIONAL BLIND FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2018 At Kochi On (April 27 th To May 1 st ) The academy team Kochi won the third IBFF national blind football tournament beating KWAB Bengaluru 1-0 in a closely fought final played at the jogo football arena Kochi. The team was dominant from the first minute with India international Gabriel Nongrum scoring the only goal of the finals finishing a fluent field goal move. Another international Klingson Marak played a consistent game to win the best player of the finals, while Gabriel won the golden boot & best player of the tournament with a total tally of 10 goals in the tournament. DCP Kochi Kuruppasamy IPS was the chief guest, who was extremely pleased to watch the game with some of the other dignitaries from IBSA Delhi who had come for the game too. 12 teams were participated in the tournament from across the country
THAILAND INDIA BLIND FOOTBALL COMBINED TRAINING SESSION At 23 rd -26 th July 2018, Kochi IBFF Is organised a joint training sessions with the blind footballers and coaches from the Thailand blind football team at Jogo grounds, Chilavanoor Kadavanthra Kochi from 23 to 26 July 18 as a part of an exchange of skills program to develop the national academy team comprising of Indian players to develop the side for the future. The sessions are conducted by experienced Thailand coaches Mr Surin Sungsiri and Mr Chaiyaporn Sanidwong with the Thailand Blind football team captain Kong and Panyawut Kupan, one of top players at the moment in Asia and scorers of one of the Goals of the Tournament at the recently concluded Blind Football World Cup, at Madrid in June 18. Tim Suphankomut, Thailand Blind Sports Association head official is also accompanying the team with the official team photographer.
THE REGIONAL SOUTH & WEST ZONE BLIND FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT At Bangalore (31 st August To 2 nd September 18). The Regional South & West Zone Blind Football Tournament concluded at Bengaluru with the SRVC Kerala team winning the title beating Bengaluru in a pulsating final on Sunday at the Feverpitch turf facility. The tournament brought together around 70 participants from different regions including teams from Gujarat, Mumbai, chennai, Madurai, Kerala, Bengaluru etc and was a warm up event to the national team selection camp before the Australian Blind Football Teams friendly series in Kochi by mid Sept. Falhan CS from the Kerala team was the Player of the Tournament ( in pic) while Nirav from Gujarat was the top scorer with 12 goals. The tournament included recognised national level referees and training sessions for the new teams to take up the game said Sunil J Mathew, Sporting Director, IBFF. DCP Bengaluru North Shri Chetan Rathore IPS was the chief guest for the closing finale
AUSTRALIA BLIND FOOTBALL TEAM TOUR TO INDIA At 17th To 22nd Sept'18, Kochi The Australian Blind Football Team concluded its tour to India from 17th to 22nd Sept'18 which included a Friendly 2 match series & combined training sessions at Kochi, India. The tour was a Great Experience for players of both sides as the teams aim to develop the teams for the upcoming Asian Blind Football Championships to held in 2019. The tour also give a chance for some of emerging players from both sides to play at an International stage and gain exposure.
MANJAPPADA FELICITATES INDIA BLIND FOOTBALL TEAM Manjappad honoured the members of India team while they were in Kochi last week for matches with Australia. The fans felicitated the team with trophies and bouquets at a simple function held at the Jawaharlal International stadium in Kochi.
THE BLIND FOOTBALL DEMO GAME WAS HELD AT THE ADIDAS THE FOOTBALL BASE PLAZA VENUE AT CHATTARPUR, DELHI ON 6 th & 7 th OCT'18 The Blind Football Demo Game was held between the Delhi Blind Football Team and the NIVH Dehradun team at the Adidas the Football Base Plaza venue at Chattarpur, Delhi on 6th Oct'18. the visiting side beating the home team 1-0 with a goal in the first half by scored by India International Pankaj Rana. The session was cohosted by IBFF and Delhi Dynamos FC as a part of an effort to develop blind football in Delhi. A training session was held on 7th Oct with the blind footballers enjoying a demo game & training session
EAST ZONE BLIND FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT AND TRAINING SESSION 3 rd - 4 th Nov'18 Extraa Time Ground, Kolkata The Regional EAST Zone Blind Football Tournament concluded at Kolkata with the FABB kolkata team winning the title beating FABB Juniors in a pulsating final on Sunday at the extra time ground,russel street,kolkata The tournament brought together around 50 participants from different regions including teams from Bihar,Odisha,Mizoram,and Kolkata. Klingson D Marak and Nirav shared Player of the Tournament award and suprakash from Kolkata got the golden boot award with the 9 goals. BLIND FOOTBALL DEMO AND EXHIBITION GAME, IRUMBANAM, Game Town Ground At 1 st Decemebr 18 Indian blind football federation organized a blind football demo game at Game Town Turf Ground, Irumbanam. Klingson Marak & new talent from Mizoram, Thara netting one goal each as Team Blue beat a star studded Team Red in an exhibition game on 1st Dec at Kochi. Positives included debuts from players from Madurai University & Alwaye Blind School.
BLIND FOOTBALL DEMO AND INTERACTION SESSION WITH JAMSHADPUR FC TO MARK THE WORLD DISABILITY DAY, WEST SCHOOL GROUND, Panampilly Nagar 3 rd December 18 Jamshedpur FC helps raise awareness about Blind Football with an interaction with the IBFF blind footballers at the Kochi academy to celebrate World Disability Day. A fantastic evening for all as the players meet their differently-abled counterparts and engaged in a friendly blind football penalty shootout & met up with the players
BLIND FOOTBALL GOAL KEEPING TRAINING SESSION WITH AIFF NATIONAL GOAL KEEPER COACH ROGARIO RAMOS (5 th -7 th December 18) Indian blind Football Federation organised a three day intensive blind football coaching camp. The camp was conducted under the guidance of the AIFF National Goal keeping coach Mr.Ramos Rogeiro from Brazil. The training camp was conducted at the jogo football arena (Kadavanthara) and at the GameTown football turf ground (Irumbanam).The main objective was to provide an international level goal keeping training for the national blind football team goalkeepers.
DEMO GAME ORGANISED IN SH COLLEGE, KOCHI AT 10 th December 2018 IBFF organized a Blind Football Demo Game at the SH College Lake View Ground, Thevara on 10th December as a part of the Disability Awareness Week to showcase the talents of the visually challenged Blind Footballers. Players from the IBFF National Academy including from Meghalaya, Mizoram, Gujarat, Kerala etc participated at the event and including few national players. The game also saw female referees officiate the game
