Then at the end of the day, I make sure it's all shut off the right way. Jack: (unamused) So that's all you do? Lenny: (very patient with Lenny) Well no, not really! I'm on call all day! So in case something goes wrong or looks funny they call me and I fix it. They call me the fixer! Jack: (still unamused) I don't know, it doesn't seem too fun. I thought being the head of mechanics at such a huge theme park would be a bit more... Exciting? Lenny: It's actually very exciting! Maybe not talking about it, but once were called into action, that's when the fun begins! You just got to be patient. Jack: I mean, I guess. So, how long have you been working here? Must be a long time now since you have a nickname.
Lenny: Oh boy, I've probably been working here since you were in diapers! Jack: I'm 20 years old, you're telling me you've been working here for 20 years?! Lenny: Yeah that sounds about right! Jack: Wow, so you really know your stuff don't you? You must be the most important guy in the park? Lenny: Yeah I definitely know my stuff, but here at the park we're all important! We all have jobs and when we come together and do them, we get a lot done! Jack: Really? I can't imagine what that churro guy does that helps anyone. Lenny: Charlie the Churro man? Are you kidding me?! That guy satisfies our customers with those delicious treats, especially the grumpy ones! No one can be mad after eating a churro! Jack: (thinks for a while and laughs) That's actually very true! Lenny: Yup, so even the jobs that seem small here are actually pretty important! Lenny's cell phone/walkie talkie goes off. Lenny: (talking into the cell phone/walkie talkie very seriously) Ok hang tight, I'm on my way now! Jack: (kind of nervous, and concerned) Lenny what's going on? You just opened that electric unit in the ground, jumped in and you were done in five minutes! You're a mechanical genius! Lenny: Aw man, I'm no genius! I'm just part of the team here at Beginagin Park! Jack: Are you all this good at your jobs? Lenny: You know, Jack, it's not about being amazing at what you do, it's about just doing your part and doing it the best you can! Jack: So that's the trick? Everyone here just gives their part and it all works out? Lenny: Well of course, it's not perfect all the time. But as long as we all know what we're doing and do it to the best of our ability- that's true success! Jack: Wow, that reminds me of how Jesus' followers all built a church together and worked together to grow and reach more people! Lenny: I know that story! I guess we are kind of like that, we try to get more visitors and we wouldn't be able to do that if we didn't all work together and give this park a good name! Jack: I definitely want to be a part of such an awesome park, do you think I could tell that story today when you guys have your end of the day meeting? Lenny: Definitely!! We love doing some devotionals to end the day, and I think they'd really enjoy that story! Jack: Awesome, can't wait! Lenny: Me too! Let's go check up on Charlie the Churro man, I think he can hook us up with some free food! Both exit stage Host/Worship Leader(s) enter. HOST/WORSHIP LEADER: (Allow time for kids to respond) 1.
