Hope your holidays were happy and that Santa was good to you and your corvettes. (Santa was VERY good to me.) As always, a very special thanks to Daryl and Cindy for hosting the Christmas party and to Betty for her fabulous decorations. The event was a great start to everyone s holiday season. Upcoming this month is our annual Awards Banquet on January 16 at the Petroleum Club. If you have not paid please do so by the January 7 meeting. The banquet always proves to be a great time to be had by all. Officer at Large.........Linn Smith 316-558-8569 N.C.C.C. Governor... Bob Battaglear 316-721-1166 Newsletter Editor...... Kent Michael 316-682-4403 ACCC s Web Page.. http://aircapitalcorvetteclub.com Remember the Meeting on January 7 and the Drive and Eat on January 10, when we will hopefully be making a return visit to one of our most popular destinations. I hope you are looking forward to this year as much as I am. If you have any ideas for club events or places to go, please make sure you share them with me or any one of the e-board members. See you at the meeting, Dale Page 1

January, 2009 Volume 43 - Issue 1 Minutes from the December 3, 2008 ACCC Meeting The meeting was called to order by President Monte Rans at Don Hattan Chevrolet. We welcomed our guest Jim Barkley. Curt Geis and Mike Walker, both South Winds members were here to present some information later. A motion was made and passed to accept the minutes as published. Daryl Burbach wished to applaud the out-going E-Board members, Monte Rans, Gary Jones and Jack Crossman. All members present chimed in. Monte moved directly to officer reports. Vice President - Jack Crossman reported that we have 75 memberships through January. But there are a few who have not renewed. Delinquent members now must pay more as they will be coming in as new members. Treasurer - Randy King reported that the checking account has a current balance of $768.35 and the Savings account is $2125.87 plus $30.00 cash. Secretary - Marsha Battaglear had nothing. Officer-at-Large - Lin Smith reminded everyone of the Awards banquet at 6:30 Jan 16 th at the Petroleum Club on the 9 th floor of the Bank of America building downtown. Parking is in the parking garage across from the bank. A sign-up sheet was sent around for those wishing to attend. Members who sign up are obligated to pay for their reservations if they are not cancelled by January 9 th. Please notify Lin at the January meeting or call Lin or Marsha by January 9 th to make reservations. The cost is $25 per person. NCCC Governor - Gary Jones was not in attendance but sent word that all memberships were paid after Thanksgiving and that Bob Battaglear needed to get his signature on the NCCC account as the in-coming NCCC Governor. Newsletter - Kent Michael as always continues to need pictures for the newsletter. Old Business Monte reminded everyone of the caravan for the Bloomington Gold Tour. He also mentioned tours to the Great Lakes and Grand Canyon. We needed to pay Terry Pollard for the canopy. Monte reported that the Yoder runway is not in good enough shape for us to consider for the KS Mile. We really need a 2 mile stretch of flat road. Travis Pearson agreed to chair a committee to pursue this endeavor. Interested members volunteered to serve on the committee: Barry and Matt Hoofer, Randy Smith, Monte Rans, and Don Crigler. New Business Daryl announced the Christmas party is ready to go. We need volunteers to help set up the chairs and tables and to help Betty Henderson with decorations. Members were reminded to bring one inexpensive gift per person. We also needed to pay Daryl back the rental charge. The doors will open at 5:45 and dinner will be served at 6:30. (Special thanks to Daryl and Cindy Burbach for the great venue for the Christmas party. And WOW Betty you always out do yourself. The decorations were gorgeous! Thanks also to everyone who helped in the kitchen and with set up and take down. Everyone pitched in to ensure that the party was great fun and a huge success) A request was made for apparel information to be placed on our web page. Marsha and Kent will put together that information and make it available. Curt Geis announced the intent of starting a NCRS chapter in Wichita. An organizational meeting will be in January. The cost of membership is $35.00 annually. Kent will send out an e-mail. The chapter is for those interested in restoring and maintaining vintage Corvettes. As his last gesture Monte welcomed new Board members: new Vice-President, Dave Snodgrass; new NCCC Governor, Bob Battaglear; and then he passed the gavel to new President, Dale Brotton. Swap & Shop Randy King has a Diablo tuner for a 99-04 for $325.00. He also has a Mass Air-flow Intake for a 2000. SLP-97-2000 Sensor for $225.00. (I have no idea if any of that is correct) Best to see Randy for details. Mike Smith is looking for 2 good used back tires, 16 40 series for his C4. 50/50 Pot Won by Dave Snodgrass Door Prize Drawing Won by Randy Smith. The meeting was adjourned Respectfully submitted, Marsha Battaglear Secretary Page 2
