Tennis Ticker Manual 1. Log- In The ITF Supervisor logs into the Supervisor Admin Area by clicking on the link that was sent to him by the Tennis- Ticker Team. After the log- in, the ITF Supervisor gets to the first page of the Admin Area. Here general data about the tournament is displayed. The ITF Supervisor can edit this information with a click on Edit Tournament Data, Live Score Message and Website in the box on the right.
2. Edit Event Data In the upcoming mask the ITF Supervisor can change tournament details: The ITF Supervisor can also fill in a Live Score Message that is shown above the live score (for example: Rain Delay or All Matches suspended due to darkness etc.). With a click on Save he saves the data and gets back to the first page. 2. Add / Edit Courts With a click on Edit courts in the box on the right the ITF Supervisor can create new courts or rename courts. 3. Edit the Schedule, Players and Events With a click on Schedule, Players and Edit Events the ITF Supervisor can add / edit events, players and matches. On the first page the existing events for the tournament are displayed.
3.1 Add an event If the ITF Supervisor wants to add an event he clicks on the button Add Event at the top of the page. The ITF Supervisor needs to fill in the correct data for Mode, No of Sets, Last Set Tiebreak Mode, No Ad Rule, Ball Change and doubles / mixed competition. This data is saved with a click on Save. The ITF Supervisor gets back to the overview of events. Here he can edit or delete the events. If he wants to edit an event, he needs to click on the button Edit event next to the name of the event. 3.2 Add players To fill in the players for an event, the ITF Supervisor needs to click on the button Players. He gets to the following page: The ITF Supervisor can either add a player or a doubles team manually or upload a Chip List created by the program Tournament Planner. 3.2.1 Adding players by uploading a chiplist To upload a chiplist the supervisor opens the program ITF Tournament Planner and carries out the following steps: 1. He clicks on the button Roaster on the left hand side. There he chooses the event he wants to create the chiplist for.
2. The supervisor clicks on Report and chooses Print Player Lists. The following dialog appears: Here he marks the Main Draw or Qualifying Chip List on the left side and the Event on the right side. After that he clicks on the button Excel on the bottom of the dialogue.
3. In the upcoming message dialogue the supervisor saves a.xls file on his computer. Then he needs to open this file in Excel. 4. In Excel the supervisor saves the file as a.csv file by clicking on Save as and choosing the file type.csv. After that the ITF Supervisor needs to go back to the Tennis- Ticker Admin Platform and click on the button Submit selected CSV- File. Here he submits the.csv file and after that all
player details are entered automatically into the system. 3.2.2 Adding a player manually To enter a player manually click on Add Team / Player Manually and the following mask appears: Enter the player by putting in his first and last name (in capital letters) and is nationality. If you enter teams for a doubles event, also fill in the details of his partner. Click on Save to finish or enter the next player.
4. Add matches Once the ITF Supervisor has filled in all players competing at the tournament, he can enter the matches that are played on the actual day or on the next day of the tournament. To do this he clicks on the button Matches next to the event. He gets to the page where all matches are listed: The ITF Supervisor clicks on the button Add match to enter a new match into the system. The following mask appears: He choose the two players / teams that are competing in the corresponding drop down lists. After that the ITF Supervisor needs to enter the date on that the match is scheduled (he can use the calendar pop- up to select the date). At Round on Court he fills in the round that match is played at on that day (for example 1, 2 etc. The ITF Supervisor mustn t confuse this with the round of the tournament). At Heading he enters the time corresponding to the order of play (for example Starting at 10:00 or, Not before 14:00 or After suitable Rest etc.). The ITF Supervisor can also fill in the umpires s name, which will then appear on the scorecard.
The ITF Supervisor should double- check all data and press on Save to confirm. The match can now be selected on the live scoring PDA. Have fun working with Tennis- Ticker Live Scoring!
