President s Message Howdy Gear Heads, The BIG news in this Newsletter is the upcoming general membership meeting at the Ferndale WECU on the 17 th. If the sun is out, or at the least not raining, bring your ride. The Credit Union asks that no one park in the first row as it s very busy with cash machine traffic. We ll have 2 brand new members that we hope can make it and meet and maybe see their cars along with as many of the returning Gear Heads as possible. Like last year we ll have a sign in table where we can get updates on address changes etc., and a table for those who haven t sent in their renewal check for 2018. They ll be existing Gear Heads clothing stock as well with some new items and of course we ll take orders for new stuff too. The main feature will be the presentation of our plans for the 4 th annual Gear Heads Car Show. This should be the biggest and best ever with 2 Canadian car clubs committed to come rain or shine with cars we ve probably never seen before. Last year with rain all day we still had over 100 cars. If the weather cooperates we expect huge numbers. We ll tell you about some changes that we hope will make for an even better show. So be ready for a fun afternoon on Saturday, February 17 th starting at 11:00 and ending at 1:30. Welcome to our newest Gear Heads; Lloyd Mitchell ( 66 Chevy Nova) and John Breidford (1950 Ford Coupe, 56 T-Bird, 1924 Model T Tudor) Pete Griffin President griffinspc@gmail.com 2

Dues for 2018 are still just $20.00. Please make checks payable to Gear Heads of Whatcom County and send them to: Jim Appleby, 1150 E. McLeod Rd. We do ask that for those members without email and get a hard copy mailed to them renew for just $25.00. That helps offset the cost of postage, paper, envelopes and printer ink. Thanks, and keep being a member of the best club in the county! 3
