Record Book Senior center Aleks Maric scored in double-figures 27 times in 2006-07, including each of his last 11 games. Sophomore guard Ryan Anderson scored 283 points last year (10.1 ppg), the ninth-best mark by a NU freshman. He also ranked eighth on the freshman list with 25 steals. N O T E B O O K Nebraska will return its top two scorers (Maric, Anderson) in 2007-08. Five of the top eight players who scored points can play again this season. Maric has posted six consecutive double-doubles. He is averaging 22.7 points and 13.3 boards during that span, including two 30-point efforts. Maric is the second Husker player to reach 1,000 points and 600 rebounds before the end of his junior season. He has 1,111 points and 680 boards entering his final campaign. The Huskers will have a young roster in 07-08, as NU returns only one scholarship player with more than one year of Division I experience (Maric). Eight newcomers are joining the team, a recruiting class ranked in the top 25 by at least three recruiting services. History Harvey S. Perlman, J.D.
