What the Association Expects of You What you can expect from the Association Scrimmages & Jamborees (must help) Week 1: August 18 th (some games on 8/17) 11
Appearance Varsity: Wear long pants, collared shirt, & shoes to game (no shorts, t-shirts, jerseys, or flip-flops) Uniform: Wear clean & neat uniform in all games Neatly groomed Tobacco prohibited on school grounds No Alcohol on game day Don t enter establishment wearing uniform Caution about using social media Show up to game assignments & arrive on time Sub-varsity ~30 minutes prior to kick off Varsity ~2 hours prior to kick off (must have pre-game) Don t talk about games you were not involved in Don t pal around w/ coaches or call by first name 12

If Heat Index is 95-104 Officials shall stop the game for heat time-out at the 1st dead ball after the halfway point of each quarter. If either team has possession of ball inside the other team s 20-yard line, officials may delay this time-out until either offensive team scores or ball is turned over. If Heat Index is > 104 Game cannot start until heat index drops below 105 Applies to ALL Games & Scrimmages 24
Proactive Planning Monitor weather conditions before & during contests Referee cover evacuation & resumption of play protocol with game administrator and coaches When thunder is heard or cloud-to-ground lightning bolt is seen, the leading edge of the thunderstorm is close enough to strike your location with lightning!! Suspend play for 30 minutes & take shelter immediately Once play is suspended, wait at least 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard or flash of lightning is witnessed prior to resuming play Any subsequent thunder or lightning after the beginning of the 30-minute count resets the clock & another 30-minute count begins 25
