If yes, dis your design meet these? When we were approached to be part of the design team there were immediate challenges. The client wanted an indoor pool with full height opening glazing at the end of the pool hall building, with a glass wall sauna and open mezzanine floor above the pool for his games room including snooker table and bar. As the pool hall is completely open, we needed to control the pool air environment at one level and cool the open mezzanine floor above. With our in house design team and clever use of both heat recovery and air conditioning we achieved this with stunning effect. What was the general feedback from the client? Please Note: follow up references will be made with the client so please provide their
contact details below. * This company were chosen to build my pool based on their reputation locally and experience in high end designs. The whole complex was designed to allow various facilities to be included within the pool area from sauna with viewing window onto the pool, to pool table and bar on the open mezzanine floor. Being an open environment we wanted to be warm around the pool but cool and comfortable on the mezzanine. They achieved this to my satisfaction. As a family we continue to enjoy the pool and all the facilities and feel that it is worthy of an award. The client was very demanding and understood the necessity for us to be part of the design team from the beginning. The pool annex was linked via the kitchen downstairs and the bedroom via the mezzanine floor to the existing house. To ensure that we overcame any potential problems before they happened, we had very strict management on site. This allowed us to be as obsessive as our client on the smallest of details. What particular features of this installation, technical innovation, or photo in your opinion justifies it to be considered for an award? Please note: This information may be used in any press release, if you win an award. As the design evolved from concept to actual construction, details such as size of pool tiles, type of grills and ductwork for both environments progressed smoothly. One particular challenge was the underwater lighting. The client wanted to replicate an Hotel in Austria where the high beam created a figure 8 on the floor of the pool at night time. Many tests were created and a huge amount of research over a period of weeks resulted in a manufacturer being sourced in Germany who could provide this wonderful lighting effect. The client is absolutely delighted and to our relief they look stunning. The waterfall from the mezzanine floor above creates a soothing sight and sound and the entire glazed wall opens out to the spa area beyond. The pool is framed as a circular picture as you walk down the staircase and in the evening, the waterfall is lit and compliments the underwater pool lights and the water features either side of the glass walled sauna.
