QUALIFICATIONS TO COMPETE IN THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: All shooters must have a CMP competitor number. Competitor numbers can be obtained at http://www.thecmp.org/competitions/createacmpnumber.pdf. QUALIFICATIONS TO COMPETE IN REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: State top Sporter and Precision teams as well as the top individual (not on the winning team), all qualify to attend the Regional Championship. EVENTS 3 X 20, 3 Position Team and Individual match in both Sporter and Precision class of air rifle. Individual and Team events will be fired concurrently. The event will be shot and scored on ORION targets. TIME SCHEDULE: Range will open at 7:30 am. on Friday and Saturday 18-19 January 2019. EQUIPMENT CLASSES Separate competition classes will be held for sporter and precision class rifles. There are no mixed class teams in this competition. Participants must declare which class of competition they will be entering. All entries must be verified and finalized not later than close of business on Thursday, 17 January 2019. EQUIPMENT Participants will provide their own air rifle, off-hand stand, mats, kneeling roll, pellets, spotting scope and air/gas. COMPETITION Relay times will be determined on a first come first serve basis of the paid entry forms received. Relay and Lane assignments will be announced not later than Thursday, 17 January 2019 via email. Competition results will be electronically sent to CMP and entered into the CMP tracker system. This is a sanctioned CMP match and Excellence in Competition (EIC) Points can be earned in this competition. RULES The 2016-2018 National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules, 11 th Edition, will apply with the following exceptions: 1) Participants will not be allowed to wear clothing or use equipment that does not conform to National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules and requirements. Coaches/Instructors must review the equipment standards with your shooters in advance of reporting to the competition venue. 2) COACHING (Rule 5.2) or assisting a competitor during competition is not permitted while the competitor is on the firing line. While on the firing line a competitor may only communicate with a Range Officer, Safety Officer or Jury Member. See Rule 5.2.3 for exceptions to Coaching during competitions. PROTESTS: Match protests will be submitted to the Competition Director IAW CMP Rule 9.0. Score protests must be submitted during the protest period to the Statistical Official IAW CMP Rule 8.5.5.
AWARDS: 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd place individual winners will receive either Gold, silver or bronze medal respectively. 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd placed medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each. Awards will be mailed to the applicable recipients. Excellence In Competition (EIC) points can be earned at this match. ENTRY FEES: Team entry fee (4 shooters) is $100.00 and Individual (not entered on a four-member team) entry fee is $30.00. OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS Overnight lodging is available to Teams and Individual Shooters at a variety of local hotels near the Air Rifle Range site or Camp Bullis thru reservations via the RFMSS System. Team Coach/Instructor or Chaperones are responsible for supervision of shooters after hours. There is a variety of restaurants in the immediate area to meet the taste and budgets of all participants.
