Of course you do so listen up the Watkins Mill newspaper will be holding a fundraiser at the Gaithersburg Chipotle on Monday, January 26 th from 5 pm to 8 pm. Bring in a flyer, show it on your smart phone, or just tell the cashier you re supporting the Watkins mill newspaper to make sure that 50% of the profits go to the newspaper. The Wiz Rehearsals will begin today with a first Read of the script. All members of cast are to report in the chorus room at 2:30. Scripts will be distributed at that time. We will go until 5PM.
To Those interested in attending College 101 Club:,there will be a meeting on Friday during the second half of step in B103. We will discuss moving the date and time of the club.
Seniors the deadline for rough drafts has been extended to Friday, January 23rd. Anyone who wishes to speak at graduation must give Mrs. Leecost your rough draft by 12 noon on Friday, January 23rd.
2. Cap and Gown payments are due to me by Friday, February 20th. It's is $50. On Monday, February 23rd your cap and gown fee will become an obligation. 3. Finally, all graduation announcements and accessories ordered through the Josten's must be done by Saturday, January 31st.

Congratulations to the Watkins Mill Robotics team for winning first place in the Montgomery County Qualifier event this past weekend and advancing to the state championship in February. The next robotics meeting will be Tuesday after school.

Attention seniors: Lincoln University, an HBCU in Pennsylvania, will be conducting an on the spot admissions event here at WM on Tuesday, February 3, at 9 am. This is a free event. Only the paper application, transcript and test scores are needed. Interested seniors need to sign up in the College/Career Center and pick up an application.
This is a reminder to all seniors who are applying for the Montgomery College Scholars or Macklin Business 2 year scholarship program: The deadline to submit all materials is January 30. Please stop by the College/Career Center during STEP today if you have any questions about the application process.
Attention students, this is a reminder that the Universities at Shady Grove college visit is today, 4 th period in the cafeteria. USG is located at Shady Grove Road and houses 9 different Maryland public universities. USG is for a student s junior and senior year of college. Congratulations to our Wolverine indoor track team for a wonderful performance at the county championship.
The boys overall placed fifth out of twenty-two teams. Top performers were: Sahil Shrestha place sixth in the high jump, Kevin Mapoku placed sixth in the 300 meter dash with a region leading time of 36.8, Michael Bonds placed third in the 55 meter hurdles, the boys 4by400 meter relay placed third and the boys 4by200 meter relay placed second.
The girls placed tenth overall out of twenty-two teams. Their top performers were: Lisa Franco came in third in the 500 meter dash and Rhoda Miller got eighth in the same event, Franco also scored seventh in the open 800 meter run, but the highlight of the evening came when the girls 4by400 relay took fist place with a region leading time 4:07 The team's next meet is the Maryland State West Region Championships on February 5th at the Baltimore Armory.
Shout outs from this past weekend fot the swim team: Ross Campbell (Senior), Alec VanBrokhorst (Senior), and Peter Orban (Junior) swept the 50 free event. Ross and Alec had to then immediately go back to the block to swim the 100 fly, scoring 2 nd and 3 rd place. On the ladies side, Angelique Ramos (Sophmore) dropped 8 seconds in her 100 back. Fiona Franke (Freshman) dove exceptionally well
Congrats to the bocce team for their shut-out win against Seneca Valley on Saturday. Timmy Cooper, Segun Olorunyomi, Shellea Valle, and Jaila Witherspoon all scored points for the team. Next game is this Saturday against Northwest.
