DAY 1, NOVEMBER 24TH SAN JOSE HOTEL DON CARLOS Arrival in Costa Rica. Highly recommended to arrive early in the afternoon. Meet and greet at Juan Santamaria international airport and transfer to your hotel. Free day, no activities planned. Check out San Jose downtown, shopping centers, museums and restaurants. (Night meeting, no meals included, enjoy some traditional Casado!) Included: Lodging at Don Carlos hotel or similar. DAY 2, NOVEMBER 25TH SAN JOSE TO UVITA LA CUSINGA LODGE, UVITA BEACH Breakfast in San Jose, van pickup early morning and private transfer to the central pacific coast (approx. 4 hours). Upon arrival at La Cusinga Lodge: Lunch and free afternoon to explore the area and enjoy of the lodge facilities. Evening Yoga & Kirtan Session. DECEMBER 01ST MACAW LODGE TO SAN JOSE Morning Yoga Session, Breakfast (included) Private van transfer to San Jose, (approx. 2 hrs.). Free afternoon in San Jose to explore the surroundings or relax and prepare for your return back Home! Farwell dinner. Lodging at Don Carlos hotel or similar. Included: accommodation, 2 Meals, 1 Yoga session, transfer back to San Jose. DECEMBER 02ND DEPARTURE Breakfast and transfer back to Juan Santamaria International airport. DAY 3, NOVEMBER 26TH LA CUSINGA LODGE, UVITA BEACH Morning Yoga Session, Breakfast, free morning for Optional Activities in the area, Lunch, Meditation workshop, Evening Yoga Session. Included: Accommodation, 2 Meals, 2 Yoga session & 1 Meditation workshop. DAY 4, NOVEMBER 27TH LA CUSINGA LODGE UVITA BEACH Morning Yoga Session, Breakfast, morning boat tour in search of the doplhins. This Combo Tour is the best option to see the most of the Marino Ballena National Park. The boat departs from Punta Uvita Beach and visits the famous Punta Uvita Whale s Tail, Ballena Island, Tres Hermanas Islets and Ventana Sea Caves. During the tour, we search for Humpback Whales (seasonally) and two different species of resident Dolphins. When granted the opportunity, you might see and hear the song of the Humpback Whales and or observe the acrobatic displays of the dolphins. During dry season, we include a short session (35 minutes) for snorkeling on the reefs of the Ballena marine park. While cruising in the boat you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the coastline of Costa Ballena and observe the diversity of shore and pelagic birds nesting in the Islets of the park. The boat pass near the caverns of Ventanas Beach where you can observe wonderful rocky formations and the amazing caverns that were carved out by the ocean and tectonic movements over thousands of years. The humpback whales visit the waters of Costa Rica and the Marino Ballena National Park between mid-july and late October (Southern Humpback Whales), and again in mid- December through late February (Northern Humpback Whales) as they migrate to and from feeding and mating grounds. The snorkeling is good primarily during the dry months (November late through June) due to visibility but on rainy season the water is murky and we just spend a time for swimming and relaxing. When is not Whale season we do the trip but focuses on Dolphins and complementing with the other activities mentioned above. The area does not have a dock or marina so you enter the boat from the beach. DAY 5 NOVEMBER 28TH UVITA TO MACAW LODGE, TURRUBARES Morning Yoga Session, Breakfast, private van transfer to Turrubares (approx. 3 hours). Upon arrival to Macaw Lodge lunch, free afternoon for Optional Activities and to enjoy the lodge facilities. Evening Yoga Session and Dinner. DAY 7, NOVEMBER 30TH MACAW LODGE, TURRUBARES Morning Yoga Session, Breakfast, botanical Garden tour. Macaw Lodge was built in the middle of a botanical garden that covers 5 hectares (nearly 12-1/2 acres). This garden is a collection of more than 500 species of ornamental, medicinal and food plants from around the world. These gardens are divided into a mosaic of colorful plots that lie between natural ponds and streams. Palms, bromeliads, fruit trees, cacti, bamboo, lilies, heliconias and many others cover the earth like a multi-hued carpet. The guided walk follows a path that crosses the gardens and offers opportunities to learn about the wonderful world of plants and their relationship with humans in the natural environment. ABOUT US Ana Lucía Fariña founded Pranaluz in 2014. Analu, a TEC MBA in C.R and a Masters in Environmental Leadership from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, U.S.A. (University with a focus on Buddhist education). She has been a Certified Yoga and Meditation Instructor since 2009 (ERYT-500), since then, she has been offering yoga classes, training and workshops in diverse countries and locations. She has studied Buddhism, yoga and meditation with various renowned teachers in schools across India, Nepal, the United States and other countries. Analu has extensive experience as a tour guide and tour leader, leading and guiding groups in several countries in Asia and all throughout Central America. She plays harmonium, guitar and sings, offering music for meditation and yoga. Proud of being born in this small country, she is a lover of all corners found in Costa Rica: the mountains, the beaches that she admires and the nature that surrounds the whole country and of which she feels blessed to be able to enjoy day by day. Nati is convinced that Costa Rica is one of the most perfect destinations to find the balance between body, mind and spirit while traveling to places, sharing and learning from the locals and enjoying the many activities that can be done in Costa Rica. She has been in the tourism industry since 1991, when she began combining her university studies with the experience of working in a receptive travel agency; graduated in Marketing Business Administration and has been 26 years working in the hospitality industry as a travel designer in Costa Rica. As a yoga practitioner she has had the opportunity of visiting the most exciting yoga spots to find the balance between mind, body and nature.
