Livesey, CGCS, Plaza Golf Course, Visalia Each year we elect to the Board of Directors, members we feel will handle the day to day business of our organization to the best of their ability, and for the betterment of the Association. As with any group everyone cannot be satisfied. The members of the election committee contact individuals and members submit names of nominees. This is to give you, the members, the opportunity to select the individulas who you feel will do the job. A cross section of superintendents on the board should be able to guide the association. Over the years they have done an excellent job. Certainly mistakes are made, but they are minor and can be rectified with a minimum effort and with no adverse effects on the association. Each position on the board has to be taken seriously by the individuals regardless what assignment he may have. He should make every effort to perform at his best. In this way we have a smoother operation down to the membership as a whole. With our changing times your Board of Directors are making every effort to see that you the member is served in the best way possible. All suggestions and problems presented are discussed and acted upon. The individuals concerned are informed on what action has been taken.

Education of the superintendent is cotisidered by most as 011e of the main objectives of the association. This is why we ask what type of program you would like. As of late there bas been little response. You can assist the program chairman by letting him know what you feel would be an excellent program for our monthly meetings. I wish to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the help they have given me over the past several years. It has made my job on the board and as an officer of the association much easier. It has been enjoyable to be able to serve you. Bob Livesey is the nominating committee chairman. Roy King, Rich Lavine, Gale Love and Bob Dalton. following nominees.
