The Stampede Spirit Dancers are synonymous with talent and beauty, glitter and glitz, as well as hard work, dedication and commitment. Spirit Dancers perform at all Stampede home games Perform for national television audiences Participate in the 3 rd Annual Stampede Spirit Calendar shoot Lend time and talent at community and charity events Represent the Idaho Stampede at a number of special events, private and corporate parties, award banquets and promotional events Participate in Spirit Dance camps for young girls This past season the Spirit Dancers: Performed during a Utah Jazz game in Salt Lake City Performed at half time of the D-League All Star Game in Las Vegas Worked with the Seattle Sonics game elements at an Idaho Stampede game in Qwest Arena Were recognized as one of the top dance teams in the NBA Development League
2007-2008 REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of auditions. Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. First Round When: Friday, August 17, 2007 Where: Studio C Academy of Dance 500 S. Fitness Place Eagle, ID 83616 Time: Registration begins @ 5:00 P.M. Tryouts will begin @ 6:00 P.M. INFORMATION AT-A-GLANCE **During this time dancers will learn a short routine, which includes basic dance technique. NO CUTS will be made this evening. Second Round When: Saturday, August 18, 2007 Where: Studio C Academy of Dance 500 S. Fitness Place Eagle, ID 83616 Time: Tryouts will begin @ 9:30 A.M. (Doors will open for warm up at 9:00 A.M.) **Dancers will perform the routine learned the prior evening for a panel of judges, and will be evaluated on dance technique, showmanship, appearance, and physical fitness. **This is a closed audition. Third Round - Interviews When: Monday, August 20, 2007 Where: Stampede Office (in the Qwest Arena) Time: 5:00 P.M. Know your Stampede history! ** If chosen on Saturday, applicants will be interviewed by various Stampede front office staff. Interviews will be scheduled on Saturday afternoon. Proper Attire Please wear a half top or sports bra. Form fitting jazz pants or shorts are preferred. Performance hair and make-up are encouraged. There are no height or weight requirements.
