UGF fell to Division III opponents Whitman and Whitworth. Season stats are not available for the NAIA Argos. At the Carroll tournament, James Edwards (5-9 Fr.) scored 15 points in each game while Carlos Escoto (6-1 Jr.) had games of 18 and 11. Anthony Owens (6-3 Jr.) scored 16 and 12 points respectively in the two games, including a double-double performance against Whitworth. The Argos whose tallest starter is 6-foot-5 junior Rico Suazo will likely put one of the smallest lineups on the floor that the Yellowjackets will face this season. Joining Suazo in the Argos starting lineup in their last game against Whitworth were Edwards (5-9), Escoto (6-1), Aaron Timmons (6-3 So.) and Owens (6-3). Four of the five starters played over 30 minutes in the game, with Timmons seeing only 12 minutes of action. Evan Cline (6-1 Jr.) played 26 minutes off the bench. Chadron State College Eagles After starting the season 2-1, the Eagles have dropped two of their last three and will enter Alterowitz with a 3-3 overall record. CSC, which plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, has wins over Wayne State, St. Edward s and Black Hills State. Jeremy Wissing (6-5 Sr.) and Elijah Collins (6-5 Jr.) combined for 41 points on Saturday as the Eagles stopped a two-game losing skid with an 84-73 win over Black Hills State at the South Dakota Tech tournament. The Eagles have three players who are averaging double figures through the first six games of the season. Collins leads the way with 16 ppg, followed by Wissing at 13.7 ppg and Dave Camadini (5-11 Jr.) at 11 ppg. In the Eagles last outing against BHSU, Camadini had 14 points and seven assists from his point guard position. 2003-2004 Schedule and Results Date Opponent Time 11/22 Minot State W, 98-95 12/1 Great Falls 8:00 p.m. 12/6 Chadron State 7:00 p.m. 12/13 at Humboldt State 8:00 p.m. 12/16 at Western Oregon 7:00 p.m. 12/20 St. Martin s 7:00 p.m. 12/29 Humboldt State 7:00 p.m. 1/3 Western Oregon 7:00 p.m. 1/6 at Hawaii Pacific* 7:30 p.m. 1/8 at Hawaii Pacific* 7:30 p.m. 1/10 at BYU-Hawaii* 7:30 p.m. 1/16 Green Mountain 8:00 p.m. 1/17 Green Mountain 8:00 p.m. 1/20 Hawaii-Hilo* 7:00 p.m. 1/22 Hawaii-Hilo* 7:00 p.m. 1/24 Chaminade* 7:00 p.m. 1/29 at Western N.M.* 7:00 p.m. 1/31 at Western N.M.* 7:00 p.m. 2/5 Great Falls 7:00 p.m. 2/10 BYU-Hawaii* 7:00 p.m. 2/12 BYU-Hawaii* 7:00 p.m. 2/14 Hawaii Pacific* 7:00 p.m. 2/17 at Chaminade* 7:30 p.m. 2/19 at Chaminade* 7:30 p.m. 2/21 at Hawaii-Hilo* 7:30 p.m. 2/28 Montana AAU# 7:00 p.m. 3/4 Western N.M.* 7:00 p.m. 3/6 Western N.M.* 7:00 p.m. Home Games in Bold played at Alterowitz Gymnasium. Last year the Yellowjackets finished the year second in NCAA Division II for both scoring (89.3 ppg) and 3-point shooting (10.7 3-pointers per game). In the last eight seasons, MSU-Billings has been ranked in at least the top three in each category, including seven NCAA Division II scoring titles and four 3-point shooting titles. Over Carse s tenure at MSUB, the Yellowjackets have averaged 96.5 points and 11.7 3-pointers per game and have qualified for four NCAA Tournaments. Before arriving at MSU- Billings, Carse was an assistant under Dale Brown at Louisiana State University. Before going to LSU, Carse guided West Virginia State to the NAIA National Championship game in 1984, giving him appearances in national tournaments at the Division I, Division II and NAIA levels. Mark Hamilton (1 st year): Hamilton joins the Yellowjacket staff after replacing longtime assistant Brent Montague. A Columbus, Montana native, Hamilton played at MSU-Billings from 1994-1998, helping the Yellowjackets win two Pacific West Conference championships and earn three NCAA Tournament berths. He was the captain of the 1998 team that captured the PacWest title. Hamilton played in 110 games as a Yellowjacket, scoring 1,463 points and making 286 three-pointers. He s still No. 7 on MSUB s all-time scoring list and No. 2 for three-pointers made in a career. Hamilton is also in the Yellowjacket career record book for points per game (10 th at 17.9), field goals made (6 th with 496), and three-point percentage (4 th at 42.56).
