This top sale started with an in house video of the Dunlevy Ranch s 960 lb steers marking 166.25. The bull market hit new highs this week as 1906 lb Butcher Bulls from John Mcnolty of Vanderhoof top 135.00. Corrina Thompson saw her 1838 lb butcher bull mark 135.50. Neil & Gail Morrison also with top bulls, 2010 lb racing to 136.25. Keith Coxon from Clinton set a pace with 1976 lb bulls racing to 137.00. David & Linda Harvey, with 1740 lb butcher bull marking 136.50. Butcher cows were sharply stronger today. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. Alkali Lake Div. filled the ring with a top load of butcher cows, 1328 lbs raced to 96.50, the bigger cows, 1487 lbs notched 96.25, the younger cows 1206 lbs marked 108.25. Pat & Amy Roach s 1000 lb heifferettes sold to 125.50, their 1215 lb feeder cows brought 96.00. Jared & Shelly Fletcher saw their 1465 lb butcher cows top 94.25. Gang Ranch s load of 1030 lb Black Angus heifferettes topped 151.50., the load of 1209 lb young exposed cows reached 127.50. and the mature 1300 lb exposed cows traded to 106.00, The Gang s butcher bulls reached 135.75. Wilf & Lisa Larson s 534 lb Red steers sold to 220.00. Margeurite Ranch s 1357 lb cows traded to 100.50. Gus Horn s 1556 lb top kill cows sold to 99.75. The C1 Ranch had 1553 lb top cows reach 99.00. The Seven Up Ranch from Burns Lake had 1709 lb butcher cows mark 97.00 with 1494 lb cows topping our trade at 102.50. The Bar K Ranch today saw their 1405 lb butcher cows from Prince George sell to 99.50, the young end of these 1297 lb butcher cows hit 106.25. Dan & Judy Foley s butcher bulls hit 135.75. Douglas Lake Cattle Co. Riske Creek Div. had a group of 1000 lb heifferettes sell to 138.00, their younger cows reached 107.00. Gary Debruin s 1393 lb Char kill cows sold to 101.00. KAMLOOP SALE AUGUST 9, 2016 Wow, what a sale, 1000 head when you count in the incredible in house video of 350 yearlings for the Dunlevy Ranch in Williams Lake. Yearlings by far made up the sale receipts, although a good supply of butcher stock. The Frolek Cattle Co. set the pace today as they saw their 1935 lb Butcher Bulls mark 133.00. RRTS Charolais saw their 1235 lb Char cows top 105.00. Ross Cunningham saw their 1886 lb Butcher Bulls race to 132.00. The yearlings rolled much stronger today and the excitement was electric. Sean Bennet put the power to this sale with 19 head of 861 lb Hereford and Hereford X steers marking 175.00. The heavy boys, 940 lb raced to 170.00. Colin Holt from O7 had 678 lb steers top 194.00. Ken & Linda Allison set a pace with 889 lb. steers racing to 170.00, their 806 lb steers hit 181.50. Ed Bakstad s 638 lb steers reached 194.25. Eagle View Ranch s 779 lbs. steers sold to 178.50, and Greg Hanson s 772 lb steers sold to 182.50, their 742 lb Black Heifers brought 180.00. Jamie Payton s 729 lb steers hit 187.25. The 674 lb Heifers reached 180.00. Brad Hawryluk s 793 lb steers rolled to 185.00. Today the Dunlevy Ranch showcased 350 Top Quality 925 lb steers from Willliams Lake. Every buyer chair was filled as their tremendous group of steers was presented, they traded to 181.50. Pat Kuhn from Enderby had 573 lb steers trade to 188.00. Don Short from Pritchard had 953 lb steers power to 167.00. The Deanfield Ranch s pen of big good Hereford Butcher cows, 1538 lb traded to 97.50.
