President 2013-14Keith Trace Club Meets Tuesdays at 6.30pm for 7pm at the Villa Noosa Hotel, Mary Street, Noosaville. President: Keith Trace Secretary: Tony Oxley Vice President: Ross Carey Treasurer: Jim Atkinson #44-13th May, 2014 President's Report Our speaker at the Villa Noosa tonight is Darron Shields. Darron is Program Administrator of the Paraplegic Benefit Fund s Injury Prevention Program, but is better known to us as a charismatic speaker on our RYDA days. A paraplegic as a result of a cycling accident some years ago, Darron tells his story simply, effectively and with great good humour. He has the ability to grasp and hold the attention of his student audience. Not to be missed. Next week s speaker is Mary White. I am sure that most members are aware of Mary s dedication and hard work in supporting a range of charities. She will tell us about Rotary s Wheelchairs for Kids initiative. I see that Gerald has sent out an e-mail asking members to let him know the numbers for our Changeover Dinner asap. As noted before, the event will be held at the Waterfront Restaurant on Gympie Terrace, Noosaville (next to the Yacht Club) on Tuesday 3 rd June and the Board has agreed to subsidise members and their partners. Last year s Changeover Dinner was very successful and we look forward to an enjoyable evening this time around. Please note that the four Rotary clubs in the Noosa cluster are combining to present a RYDA day at the House-with-no-Steps this Thursday (15 th May). A further RYDA day will be held on Friday 6 th June. Any members free to help on these days should contact Chis Shoobert. The revised Club Constitution will be sent to RI this week. My sincere thanks to Paul Wilson and Geoff Bone for their patience and hard work in devising a Constitution that meets the requirements not only of RI but also the Queensland Government. Thanks also to Brian Worth for his perceptive comments on early drafts of the document. Lorraine Carey is at home recuperating after a brief stay in Buderim Hospital. Jacqui Hunt is still recovering after her fall in NZ. Sheila Worth expects to earn a ticket of leave from Noosa Hospital early this week, while Brian remains in hospital and welcomes visitors. 6.55pm Meeting Timetable. A Squirrel They decide to compete to see who is the fastest to get a banana off the tree. Who do you guess will win? Your answer will reflect your personality. So think carefully... Try and answer within 30 seconds. Got your answer? Now scroll down to see the analysis. :
If your answer is: Lion = you're dull. Chimpanzee = you're dense. Giraffe = you're a complete moron. Squirrel = you're hopeless. A COCONUT TREE DOESN'T HAVE BANANAS. Obviously you're stressed and overworked. You should take some time off and relax Have two glasses of wine. A full box of Chocolates. And a nice lunch.
