ABOUT 2 nd ASIAN PARA GAMES 2014 The Asian Para Games is a multi-sport event for athletes with physical disabilities, held every four years after the Asian Games. The inaugural Asian Para Games was held in 2010 in Guangzhou, China. This year, riding on the success of the first games, the 2nd Asian Para Games will be held in Incheon, Korea from 18 October to 24 October 2014. There will be approximately 6,000 participants from the 41 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs). Athletes will compete in 23 Sports, 605 events at 23 official competition venues. The slogan is A Wave of Passion, Now Begins inspired by the waves of the coast of Incheon, to regard the place of new commencement for all Asian Athletes with disabilities. Singapore will be represented by 53 athletes and 38 officials who will compete in 11 sports Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Football 7-a-side, Cycling, Lawn Bowls, Sailing, Shooting, Swimming, Table Tennis and Tenpin Bowling. CHEF DE MISSION MR JUSTINIAN CHUA Justinian Chua, Sports Manager for the Singapore Disability Sports Council has over 20 years of experience in the sporting industry as an athlete, coach, official and administrator. Having graduated from National University of Singapore with Bachelor of Engineering, he pursued his sporting aspirations in Judo and obtained the International Judo Federation Black Belt 4th Dan. Prior to joining the disability sports sector, he was the Competition Manager for Judo in the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympics Games, Sports Director of Singapore Judo Federation, as well as a General Education Officer with the Ministry of Education. Justinian was appointed as the Deputy Chef de Mission for the London 2012 Paralympic Games and Chef de Mission for the 7th ASEAN Para Games 2014. He will now lead the Singapore contingent at the 2nd Asian Para Games in Incheon, Korea. CHEF DE MISSION 05

ASSISTANT CHEF DE MISSION MS LENA NG Lena currently acts as the Board Advisor for Amata Corporation Public Company Limited and EVP of Korvac Group. She is also Chair of the Audit Committee and Board Member of the Singapore National Paralympic Council. Lena was honored Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in March 2014 and nominated as Global Agenda Council Member of the World Economic Forum. Lena is a former diplomat, serving at the Embassy of Singapore in Thailand. She was also Director of IE Singapore, an agency under the Singapore Ministry of Trade & Industry, and worked at BritishTelecoms and Standard Chartered Bank. Lena is an experienced speaker and judge in many international forums such as the World Bank Conference, ASOCIO, Mobile World Congress and Microsoft Imagine Club. She has a BA (Hons) from the National University of Singapore. She has also completed her Executive MBA, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt certification in 2009. Lena speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Thai and basic Korean. As Assistant Chef de Mission, she will assist the Chef de Mission in managing the Singapore contingent at the 2nd Asian Para Games in Incheon, Korea. ASSISTANT CHEF DE MISSION 06

Neo Alvina DOB: 3 Oct 1989 HEIGHT: 171cm WEIGHT: 77kg is important because it spurs me on to achieve greater results for my country! I used to be able to ride a normal bicycle and enjoyed doing so up till I was 14 years old, but subsequently I couldn t due to my medical condition. My passion for the sport did not stop there and I eventually pick up handcycling as the closest alternative in 2011. I am glad that I am still able to do what I love and contribute to Singapore.
